I had the shrimp tacos which were absolutely delicious. I called ahead and spoke with the manager and he was very knowledgeable about menu items, ingredients and cooking procedures. He cautioned that baked goods are made in-house, so cross contact could not be 100% avoided. He also said that the cooking surfaces are used for everything, so I needed to ask that my meal be cooked in a separate pan. The server was completely comfortable with my requests and said they do this all the time. The manager personally brought out my meal and introduced himself. I was very satisfied with how everything was handled.
Tons of options. I had the salmon which was amazing. I had to send the first one back as it was raw in the center. They said they serve it "medium rare." Uh huh. Ok. Sure. So if you order salmon make sure you tell them you want it medium it medium-well. Still... absolutely delicious!
The waitress was very knowledgeable and explained how the cooks prepare the dishes. She pointed out they use separate utensils and prep areas.
I had sushi, the filet and dessert. If was outstanding.
The staff was very knowledgeable! My servers son and wife have celiac and he said he enjoys working at a place that he knows would be safe for his family. My friends ordered a dessert to share and the server brought me out a gluten free cake because he did not want me to be left out!
Delicious food! Rather pricey ($140 before tip for 3 adults and 1 child meal plus 3 desserts)
Amazing food with GF and vegetarian options! Hands down the best restaurant in STL area!
Great restaurant and knowledgeable about gluten-free dining! Had the gf tacos which were delicious!
Absolutely love Prasino! I always get the Southwest Salad and have never had a problem with cross-contamination. All I have to ask is for them to mark that I have celiac disease for the kitchen. The restaurant is super cute but always pretty empty. The servers are always happy to answer questions.
This is a place I used to frequent. I emailed the owner prior to my first visit and they assured me that they serve Celiac customers all the time. I would always get the same Southwest Salad when I went. I have stopped going because the last time despite discussing with the waiter that I Celiac disease and explaining it, I ended up being sick shortly after. I will not be returning because for me it isn't worth the risk. The food really is delicious though! And lots of healthy options. If you need a gluten free meal that isnt necessarily celiac safe- this may be the place for you.
Have celiacs and didn’t react, BUT…it’s not good and don’t let anyone tell you different. We had the white pie gf detroit style pizza and it was the thinnest layer of cheese on some pre-frozen bread sticks. Also waited an hour and a half for the pizza to be brought out to our table.
