My experience here was mixed. On my first day I was greeted by a member of staff in the restaurant who could not have been more helpful - he gave me the allergy booklet and arranged for gluten free toast. He also pointed out the available gluten free breakfast options on the buffet. However I am not convinced that the chef understood cross contamination. I suspect that I was glutened by the toast (potentially made in the same toaster) although it may also have come from cross contamination from the buffet as there were not enough serving tongs for each meal component. On my second morning I had an uncomfortable conversation where I ordered my breakfast but asked if the chef could just be reminded that my plate was gluten free. The server was quite irate/anxious with this and adamantly informed me that the chef was not responsible and could not guarantee anything. It made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed. She also refused to answer any questions regarding the gluten free items even though I informed her that I wasn't asking questions, I was aware of the allergen menu but I just wanted the chef to be informed that I had ordered those specific items because they were gluten free so that he was aware of any potential cross contamination. It really soured my experience and I would not wish to eat there again.
