Preston's Steak & Grill

We haven't eaten there recently (may go again soon), but I just realized I never left a review. Our daughter has celiac and she ate there successfully. Steak and something else? I can't remember, it's been awhile. This place is on the way to the beach from Birmingham.

Ohhh my goodness! I loved this place! We went based off of prior and old (like three year old) reviews and it was SO worth the chance. Absolutely treated like royalty. Little place in small town rural Alabama. Best decision ever. Owner and her daughter both have celiac, so they knew all the proper precautions to take. Anything on the grill is safe and if they're not busy, they can do fried too! I had fried (yes, FRIED) chicken tenders with French fries and corn on the cob and a chocolate torte. The owner took care of my entire order. We had the chance to talk about how difficult it is to eat out when GF, especially in small towns. The chocolate torte was gluten free and delicious. My only negative here is that it's about two hours from my home!

Awesome food and service. Staff is very gluten educated. Tell your server you are gluten free and be prepared for the warmest friendliest pedestal type treatment ever!!

Tell the server you have a gluten allergy and the manager /owner will come out and talk to you. They don't have a dedicated kitchen but take extra steps for cross contamination precautions. My daughter is very sensitive to gluten and hasn't had any problems. They don't have a gluten free menu but are working on one for the future. Good food and good service.
