Gf Mondays are AMAZING like everyone said. On regular days you can also get any GF pasta, and if you call 24 hours in advance you can have a parm(like chicken parm) that they prep for you! You also can get gf breadcrumbs on the Caesar salad which is to die for on non gf Mondays. I’ve eaten here so many times on other days and on Mondays and never gotten sick always had a great experience.
So uhhhhhh this was one of the best meals I’ve had in my entire life. Even pre-GF. They are almost entirely GF on Mondays, and they absolutely nailed it. The food was so good that the majority of the group (not gluten free) didn’t even notice that it wasn’t wheat pasta. Each course was somehow better than the last. The salad was dressed perfectly, the garlic bread was so flavorful but not heavy, and the pastas were all unique. Each pasta can be ordered in half portions, which we almost all capitalized on. Also, the restaurant is beautiful - such a fun vibe! Already thinking about when I can come back to Boston to head back to Prima!
GF Mondays! They clean and sanitize the kitchen every week to prepare for Monday night so it is celiac safe. The menu is huge (even have a GF dessert menu). The food was incredible, the fresh pasta did not taste GF at all! Also, they were extremely accommodating with my onion/garlic intolerance. The executive chef Jacob was very helpful in ensuring a great experience. Overall, I felt safe, and the food was insanely delicious. We will absolutely be back!
My favorite gluten free restaurant in Boston. Monday nights is GF night, MUST HAVES are the Caesar salad, chicken parm, and the lemon chicken pasta. Pizza lovely when they have it. Arancini is rare to find and is great here. All the pasta is made in house and includes shapes you don’t typically find, even to purchase. You can’t go wrong with anything you eat.
Cocktails are great, definitely get an espresso martini to cap off the night. Well worth it.
Had the vodka pasta with gluten free noodles. Great dish. Waitress was celiac so understood precautions. Dish came out with allergy flag. Gluten free crackers available as substitute for bread. The tiramisu espresso martini was GF but a little over rated, once you ate the custard topping it was straight alcohol at the bottom and too strong to finish off.
They do their weekly clean of the kitchen ahead of service on Monday and keep the place almost entirely gluten free for the night (they still have gluten-ified beer and one menu item that uses a stock prepped earlier with flour). It’s one of the best meals I’ve eaten in 2024, with or without gluten. It might even been the best I’ve had. The table ordered 7-9 dishes and there wasn’t a miss among them.
I came here for dinner and really enjoyed myself. They don’t have a ton of gf items but I sat at the bar and when I mentioned I needed to eat gf they immediately asked if I was ok with cross contamination or not - to which I replied no and they ensured they could serve me. They even had two fresh gf pastas for me to choose from! I had the gnocchi and it was great.
I have never left a review before but I had to leave one here after my experience last night for dinner. I cannot stress ENOUGH how incredible our experience at Prima was. My partner and I went last night for our first anniversary dinner and from the moment we arrived we were blown away by how beautiful the atmosphere was and the kindness of the staff. When we made the reservation we mentioned it was our anniversary so they took us to this stunning room and served us complementary champagne to celebrate. Ryan, our server, was so thoughtful and helpful the entire time and gave excellent recommendations. I have Celiac and the restaurant was so knowledgeable about it and provided countless gluten free options which tasted out of this world. I got the Filet and it has to be one of the best I ever had, only $55 for 12oz cause they butcher in house. I would definitely recommend the shared Caesar salad with gluten-free croutons, as well as the crispy potatoes on the side to go with your entrée. We both got espresso martinis (One black and one with Bailey) and they are really good! I definitely preferred the black expresso martini but you can’t go wrong with either. Such a romantic setting. Thank you so much, Prima, for the perfect anniversary dinner. We will be coming back for years and years to come!
Everyone needs to check out this place!!
Waitress asked about allergies, explained that almost all dishes are made to order/ can be modified to be gf, and food came out with “ALLERGY” tag. They have gf pasta and I felt very comfortable eating here, but unfortunately got VERY sick shortly after my meal. Food was good, but not worth a gluten reaction. Will not be returning.
I have gone to Prima twice for gluten free Mondays when everything is supposed to be easily free from cross contamination and unfortunately I've been sick after both visits. Unfortunately I can't pin down one item because we tried to sample a bit of everything. As delicious as the food was it is not worth how sick I was or the potential damage to my body.
The food here is fantastic! No separate GF menu but the wait staff is very knowledgeable about GF and avoiding cross contamination as my server asked about allergies and severity up front. The food came out with an allergy toothpick in it. Also, they now have GF nights on Monday where they make the whole menu GF! I haven’t been yet but can’t wait to check it out.
