This place is awesome for my wife because it is totally gluten free. She loves it. It’s a little pricey but it’s worth it to know she can eat everything.

This facility is totally gluten free. We are enjoying the Sunday Brunch menu. Our order is French toast, eggs Benedict, sausage and pimento cheese omelette and the pulled pork taco. I love them all! You can not go wrong with any of the selections here! Enjoy!!

Durham’s 100% gluten free restaurant. Top flight food and so many choices

It’s gluten free but always bad service and the food really isn’t that impressive especially for the price.

Primal is a hip restaurant with fancy, delicious food. They have GF options for kids and the whole kitchen is GF.

Food is good. Be careful here if you have other food allergies! I am also intolerant to corn and asked the waitress if there was corn in the pasta. She told me no, I ordered the pasta, then had a reaction. The manager was very apologetic and refunded our entire meal, so I think this was just a one-off situation. But be careful if you have any other allergies or intolerances!
Always fantastic food. You wouldn't notice that the whole restaurant is gluten free; they do amazing things with local meats and seasonal ingredients. Every time I go, I order something different, and I've never been disappointed. One of my favorites!

Look, let’s be honest, it can be difficult for celiacs to find a dinner on the fly. Thankfully a lot of restaurants are improving in creating a safe place for GF folks to eat. Short on time, I found this place...while it’s a completely GF operation....the food is really lackluster. The saving grace is that it’s impossible for my meal to be exposed to gluten. I appreciate the approach and concept of this place, but the execution could be significantly better. If someone who didn’t require GF food ate here, they’d feel really bad about those who require GF food (based on how bland the food was)...and would get a complete misconception of the celiac GF diet. If done right, GF dining is a minor revision to a delicious meal....not a complete restriction on adding flavor to food. Eat here if you are in a pinch for a safe meal....but not if you’re looking for decent meal at this price point.
Service was OK, menu looked great, my meal was really bland. Had the Farmer’s cheese as my appetizer, and the duck as my entree.

Absolutely love it! Truly celiac friendly.

Yep. The whole menu is Gluten Free! Great farm to table selections. So, not only gluten free, but healthful food otherwise as well.

Simply amazing food and it's all gluten free. They have had GF beer on tap and always have one or two in bottles or cans to choose from. Get the ribs!

This is a Mecca for gluten free people! Wonderful!

My favorite, hands down. Everything is great!
Great food. Tried deviled eggs, salmon, and crab dip with gf toasts. Excellent starter size and shared with 4 adults. Entree was chicken thighs to stay safe. Great flavors. Staff knowledgeable and calm atmosphere. Definite repeat next time in town.
My husband and I went here once before my Celiac diagnosis and when I needed some cheering up after, we knew exactly where to go! Everything here is delicious and totally GF. The menu changes seasonally and it's a great choice in the area. A must try for people with gluten issues.

All my experiences here have been great. The food is beyond delicious (although the gf bread is a little dry). Everything is a bit overpriced and the location doesn't look spectacular, but you can't have it all. The stroganoff is to die for! The wait staff is accommodating and usually very quick.

Just changed their menu, but still great!

100% gluten free environment. Only a couple of non gluten free beers that are served in marked glasses.

100% gluten free and very safe. That being said, it's quite pricey and not quite as good as I was hoping. I've heard great things about their brunch though, so I'm eager to give it a try!

name is a little misleading, this place is not paleo. ate here twice while in town, once for dinner and once for lunch, was pleased both times. I had the duck for dinner and just had them leave the butter out of the sauce. my non restricted dinner mates had the hanger steak and both were pleased with the meal and portion size. lunch was good too, chicken salad and chicken stir fry both got the thumbs up. great service on both visits!

great service and food. It was SO nice to be able to walk into a restaurant and not have to ask 20 questions or drill the staff on cross contamination. I felt like a "normal" person.

Mostly meat options, still amazing.
All the food is gluten free which is perfect for people with Celiac Disease. I ate there twice and both times the food was amazing. Also, the service was great. Check it out!!

Entire menu and building is gluten free except for spirits. Which are served in special blue glasses. Local sources food. Nice portions. Good use of spices and vegetables.

Perfect! So glad that this place exists! The food is amazing and it's so nice not to have to worry about getting sick. We've been a couple of times even though it's an hour drive for us.

One of the best meals I have had! All the flavors were amazing! You wouldn't even know it's gluten free! It's such a relief you don't have to ask if it's GF! So happy I found the place! I will be back! 😀👍❤
celiac friendly but none of us enjoyed our meals. mostly issues with cooking (burned until black or still mostly raw in the case of "grilled" asparagus) or seasoning. but safe.
A totally gluten free restaurant with great food! I got a basket of bread. A basket of bread, people! That never happens! If I am ever in the area again I will go back for sure.
Yes
Totally GF restaurant. I've been here twice. I had the crab cake benedict the first time which was pretty good (but I wish it would have been bigger). On the second trip I had the stuffed toast (huge portion) with sausage which was a well-balanced plate and my partner had the breakfast tacos which were not all that impressive. I'm on the fence between 3 and 4 stars so I'll go back to see if they sway me either way.

Awesome service & delicious food! Highly recommend! Will be back for sure!!! Our daughter who has Celiacs was planning what she would eat the next time because everything looked so good!

The fact that they are a completely gluten free restaurant makes dining out a stress-free experience. I have celiac so even when I go to places that have GF options there's always that fear that someone might mess up and I'll get sick. As for the food, I had the crab cakes, grilled caesar salad, and NY strip steak. I can't remember the last time I had a crab cake, so that was a real treat. They also cook their food over a wood fire, which imparts a lovely smokey flavor. Everything was delicious. However, I found that most everything needed salt--as in, it was very obviously not salted at all. Curiously, they don't provide salt or pepper at the table, but I just asked the waitress and she brought some out--problem solved! Minimal seasoning is a small price to pay for the peace of mind you get from eating at a 100% GF establishment, at least that's the case for me anyway.

Ever time I visit I get excellent customer service and the food is delicious. I have not had one meal that wasn't exquisite. I like that they bring your coffee out with a French press and a timer to let you know when to stop it if you like coffee mild, medium or strong. It's so easy to order off the entirely gluten-soy free menu.
Great smell of campfire, wonderful ambience and one of my favorite restaurants.
Very gluten free friendly, but restaurant is but that amazing overall. At least try it if you're celiac or gluten sensitive, but it's just ok if you're not willing to comprise your restaurant experience just because of gluten.

Love this place been here two valentines in a row and a few more times. Everything is GF except maybe a couple beers in the menu. Dedicated kitchen etc. also one of the only restaurants in Raleigh area that I feel safe eating the crab cakes and all the desserts.
carrot coconut soup and shrimp avacado blt were to die for! my mom said at least 6 times "this is my new favorite restaurant" :)
What a great lunch! The coconut carrot curry soup was the best!

Amazing food in a fun setting. You'd never know its GF! Mostly paleo/primal with a couple of exceptions. Such a good meal. They are now making their own bread, too.

Phenomenal food. My non-gluten free husband was in heaven! We had the calamari for an appetizer, and the short ribs and duck as our entrees. All 100% gluten free and delicious!
So happy! I just moved to the area and was ecstatic to find a delicious gluten free restaurant.

Can eat dinner and not worry!
The most savory meal we have ever had !!! Highly recommend!!!

So special menu for Valentine's Day with limited menu. Not often I'd risk eating a crab cake in a restaurant but with the restaurant being 100% GF figured I'd risk it. And I was impressed. I also had the duck over a sweet potato hash and will be having a lemon pound cake for desert.

Food is always safe, on the salty side. The kale is amazing, along with the bread and deserts! They have outside seating that's dog friendly too.
Just went for Sunday brunch - the french toast was amazing!
