Chicken wings are great, fries are ok. Friend chicken is pretty great, but you need some sauces for it. Habanero sauce, honey mustard and buffalo are probably my favorite.

Dedicated fryer, which is great. But I felt unwell after eating a gluten free (and emphasized for Celiac) sandwich here. It was very busy, so maybe I need to try when they are less crowded. Also, I’d get the fried chicken plate because the sandwich was too dry.

Came here whilst wandering and because of other reviews speaking to their gluten free foods. I ordered the flipped chicken on a GF bun. It's delicious! Haven't felt anything negative yet but I shall update here if I do. GF is marked on the wall menu. Staff seemed to know and I was asked if it was an allergy. I said yes and he said he'd inform the kitchen staff to make sure they were aware. I'll totally be back next time I'm in the area.

Had the fried chicken and the fries. The fries were good! The chicken was good too, but a little bland. If I were to go back I would probably try the rotisserie chicken instead.

Was a bit nervous the first time ordering here given other fast food joints but I've never gotten sick! I've ordered in person and delivery and the staff has always noted the allergy and clearly labeled everything.

What a great find! TY to the previous reviewers who led us here. Almost anything here except the biscuits and rosemary potatoes can be gf. The flipped (rotisserie) chicken was the best - juicy and flavorful. The fried chicken was okay, but clearly was cooked much earlier and reheated. It was a bit tough. Fries are delicious as is the house ranch they are served with. Cucumber and tomato side bring something virtuous to the party.

Yummy food. Have a dedicated fryer for gluten free. Gluten free bun is pretty good. They will also cook your fries in the dedicated gf fryer if you ask. The sauce served with the fries is “malted mayo” so it’s not gluten free. Staff is knowledgeable and they don’t charge more for the gluten free option.

Second time eating here. Different staff and all know about gluten allergies. Just mention that you have an allergy and they will substitute GF fries for the Biscuit.

So good!! I got the honey mustard wings, Brussel sprouts, and bone broth and I felt great afterwards! They told me they have a separate fryer and separate area for preparing their gluten free food. My friend ordered regular wings and when our food came out they didn’t specify that my food was gluten free so I was a little bit nervous eating it but everything was safe and delicious!

Delicious GF fried chicken and fries! The staff even helped me pick sides and sauces that are both GF and dairy free. So delicious. Highly recommend.

Eaten here twice with no issues at all. Fried chicken is delicious if I lived here I would eat here all the time. Wish I had a place to go back home that was this good. If your able to stop here definitely worth the best fried chicken there is.

We ordered several times a week and I didn’t get sick once. The chicken is a game changer and I want to work there long enough to steal the recipe so I can replicate it at home. How do they keep the fried batter sticking to the chicken and tasting to good???

Delicious GF FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH! Dedicated fryers for gf. They use separate cutting boards, knives, they even have a separate batch of coleslaw and mayo for spreading on the gf bread. The owner explained to me that they take every precaution when they get a gf order.

I've eaten here 3 times now. Each time was super delicious, but both of the last two times I've had unignorable digestive issues that lasted a couple days, so this week was the last time.
My reaction wasn't as severe as if I was given the regular chicken, but definitely some amount of gluten in there above what you'd expect for a dedicated fryer, and I'm not usually super sensitive to (non-breaded) french fries from shared fryers. Maybe the contamination is in the breading itself.
I'm going to stick to aburayaoakland.com's fried chicken instead. I've had no issues with theirs so far.

It's novel to have GF fried chicken, but it is the driest chicken I have had in my life. A few times I have gotten the fried chicken salad with a side of spicy slaw, and both are marked "gluten free" when I get them (selecting GF on the chicken salad and adding a note to the slaw just in case). Can't say I felt the greatest after each of those meals, I had some brain fog.

I've been here so many times and only had an issue once. If you mark an order as GF they replace the biscuit with fries. That time I also replaced the salad with more fries and they put a biscuit in it. Every other time I just explicitly say no biscuit and celiac disease and I've not had a problem since.
Honestly the food isn't out of this world but it's nice to have a GF option. The bread for the sandwich was terrible the one time I had it, but the chicken is good.

Chicken is often overcooked and their dedicated gluten free fryer has been contaminated 3 times for us- with us finding out the hard way :(

The gluten free fried chicken salad is so good!
Tofu and chicken are better than chicken tenders. Ate here many times and it’s been very safe except the last time when ordering through delivery service. It was not marked gf on the box, and it clearly wasn’t because it had bbq sauce on the tofu and non gf bread. So might be an issue between prop chix and delivery order thru delivery service.

Food was mediocre but I didn’t get sick.

I’ve had their food before and was really happy with it. Ordered the gluten free fried chicken from them on postmates, and even added a note to the order reiterating that it needed to be gluten free, and had a very serious reaction to the food, one of the worst I’ve ever had. Don’t think I can ever feel safe going back again. 😣
Wow, I haven’t had fried chicken since my diagnosis, and this was worth the wait! I had the fried chicken sandwich with chips and it was fabulous. Service was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

I go here far too often because they have a dedicated fryer and it's near my house. They use mariposa for their GF buns and my gluten eating wife gets them too because she says they're better than the standard buns. Great chicken, good service, and I've never gotten sick from any of the dozens of times I've been there.

Oh my. Fried chicken? Damn straight, and it was damn great! The GF bun was better than most I've ever had. And the chicken. Dayumn! It's a must have, imo.
Entire menu can be made GF and it’s fried. The have buns also.
