Publik Draft House

We came here because of the previous review about how great they were about gluten-free options. We Ubered to the location, walked in, asked for a gluten-free menu and were told they had one - yes, only one - gluten-free menu option. And yes, this is for the Publik Draft House...not sure where the previous reviewer went. So for stars, we'll give the Publik Draft House the benefit of the doubt, given that they were friendly and it seemed like a nice place other than the stale beer smell (it is a bar after all).

— Not at all

Is there a gluten-free menu?

— No gluten-free information on the menu

How much of the menu is available gluten-free?

— Not Much/None

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Good

Several items on the menu were clearly marked GF and or were described so that you'd know if it was or wasn't GF. Their seasoned fries, for example, say "flour dusted," and were not GF fries. They did have GF sweet potato fries, however, that you could sub for their seasoned fries. I had their "cornmeal" fried catfish and subbed the seasoned fries with the sweet potato fries. Delicious and filling.

An added plus: the server was helpful about the GF menu and was willing to ask the chef if she didn't know an answer. Definitely made me feel comfortable asking. Even things that were not marked GF could have substitutions that would make it GF.
