Purezza

I was visiting this part of London and used the ‘Find me Gluten Free’ app to find the restaurant - it had 5 stars so we went! - so glad we did !!

I also have an issue with dairy and nightshades I.e. potatoes, tomatoes, peppers etc and my friend is vegan … you can imagine how difficult things can get …but Purezza ticked every box!

We both had the lunch time special for £15 each - I had a gluten free pizza base topped with truffle instead of tomato and a mac and ‘cheese’ side with a drink of lemonade and my friend had a tomato and cheese pizza and courgetti side and a drink.

This is THE best pizza I have ever had! The base was soft, the topping was juicy and the taste was divine! The mac and cheese was also really tasty …with hemp parm on top.

I am gutted that there are only 3 of these in Uk …London Brighton and Manchester! Please bring one North ! Maybe York? I’d pay the train fair to go !

The whole restaurant is dairy free and I was asked if I was coeliac or gluten intolerant !

Probably the best vegan food I’ve ever had! They can do everything on the menu GF and Celiac safe which is rare for vegan places that rely on tempeh etc. I loveeedddd the GF pizza dough, it almost tasted like a thicker dosa in pizza form. They have a lunch special where you can get 3 small dishes for 18£ (it’s enough for 2 people). I got the 4 cheeses and pesto pizza and a Cesar salad and they were all excellent.

I’m allergic to gluten, dairy and unions, and they were very helpful. If you’re celiac they cook your pizza in a different compartment. I got a plain margarita pizza, and it was okey. A bit bland in the taste, and the crust/bottom could have been crunchier. But all in all great service and short wait for our lunch.

Amazing experience here. The staff ask if you have a gluten intolerance or if you’re coeliac and prepare the pizza safely avoiding CC The pizza itself is delicious! A type of dough I’ve never had before and it is really doughy across the whole base not just at the edges. And you wouldn’t know it’s vegan!

Had a great time! Vegan cheese is not my favorite but the pizza was still very good. A little bit more on the expensive side but worth it. They also have very good gluten free deserts so go for it.

August 2019 Rather disappointed; recommend with reservations. I've heard great things about this place, especially in regard to their gf-base, but my visit did not meet my expectations and surely does not live up to what I’ve heard about the place. The food was okey and staff is knowledgeable upon allergies. The gluten free pizza is made with rice flour and rice starch, but they do not have a designated kitchen area due to the small space and the waiter advised me that although using gluten free ingredients, full avoidance of cross-contamination cannot be guaranteed. I was fine after eating the pizza in regard to my allergies. However, I was disappointed because the gf base is an additional +2 but from catching a glimpse of other customers pizzas, it seemingly a smaller size than the regular pizza. Also, apart from the toppings that were flavoursome, no additional herbs or spices were used and the artichockes were very greasy, so the dish became dull and soggy quickly. The waiter kindly offered to ask the chef to prepare a fresh pizza, however I turned it down as I was very hungry and the dish was edible after all. The philosophy of the restaurant is about inclusive dining, but, upon the extra charge for smaller meal and being seated on a very small table close to the bar as I was just by myself (with the waiting queue just behind my back) I did not feel included at all.

In general, food is served quickly and the recipes seem to be well thought about as they actually came up with designated vegan options rather than simply omitting non-vegan ingredients. Recommend with reservations. One definitely should book in advance, however, if stopping by without a reservation one can choose to be listed on the waiting list or have the dish as a take away.

Update. Had the Margherita and it was some of the best GFV pizza I ever had. So delicious!! and while they warned me about CC I didn’t get sick.

Celiac friendly?

I was unable to get into the restaurant as I'm a wheelchair user. However my friend was served on my behalf and they brought my food out to me as I ordered a takeaway. Food was of excellent quality and very filling. Highly RECOMMENDED, would go there again.
