I’m not a salad person but I got a quinoa salad with micro greens and salmon and two baked goods. Salad was AWESOME. This place has everything from vegan options to meat burgers all GF. I ate GF orange sweet loaf and “mudpie” brownie type cookie they were sweet and not vegan although they have lots of vegan dessert breads and cookies too (all are at least GF). A bit too sweet for my sweet tooth. Food is very fresh and you get a good portion for the comparable cost. See pictures I posted for menus, ambience, and food I got.
Pushkin’s is amazing! I have been back 3-4 times and have only lived in the area a little over 2 months. You do need to be prepared to wait for a table—I have primarily gone for a late lunch on the weekend and Pushkin’s is extremely busy. However, once you are seated, the staff are on top of everything. I am in love with the deconstructed lox—the smoked salmon is amazing and fresh, and the bread is perfect. They have a vegan menu, but also delicious bacon if you eat meat. Everything is fresh and portion sizes are actually appropriate where you walk away full but not stuffed. Pushkin’s deserves five stars and then you add that it is a dedicated gluten free facility. Also, while I hate to advertise this because I want to keep them all to myself, the mud pie cookies are heaven!
this place is incredible, i read about it and was excited to come, and it was everytging i drempt of and much more. i reccomend any celiac in the area come and eat here, all the time. i am from the east coast and would come back to california just to eat here. the only thing im left wanting is a pushkins in every neighborhood around the universe. places like this make people like me feel normal.
A dedicated gluten-free bakery was on thing, but an entirely gluten-free restaurant?! What?! Pushkins has outdone themselves! This is place is popping too, because it’s so good that even people who don’t have a GF person in their party come here for brunch. It’s that good! No one will feel deprived here. The chicken and waffles is to die for, and the Eggs Benedict with pork belly-out of this world! You really can’t go wrong here. Incredible coffee and tea too. And definitely go for the half orange-half grapefruit mimosas. Yum! Very reasonably priced for the quality and peace of mind too. No overcharging just because it’s GF here!
OMG thus place is A-MAZING!!!!!!! You HAVE TO try this place if you’re celiac and with non-celiacs. The food is SPECTACULAR! We had the Deconstructed Lox and the vegetarian omelette with arugula and goat cheese. Fabulous— and we also had a full bottle of Champagne and lots of cappuccinos — HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
There is nothing to worry about here as they are a dedicated facility. We sat outdoors. I got the chicken and waffles with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious! Also indulged with mimosas and 3 gf df desserts. Amazing food and atmosphere! Would eat there all of the time if I was a local. So many healthy choices. Highly recommend ... this is a must stop if you are in the area! They also don't use latex gloves if you're allergic to latex as I am.
Was in Sacramento with family to tour the State Capitol and had breakfast here beforehand (thanks to this app!). For a Celiac, it was like a dream come true. Delicious, safe food, large portions, fair pricing, friendly staff and beautifully designed space. Even the rest of my party who are not GF loved this place. We walked to the Capitol afterwards and returned back to pick up some pastries for the road. New favorite restaurant! I'm from San Francisco and we have nothing really comparable here. (Hint, hint, Pushkins!)
My dad and I decided to drive up to Pushkin's Restaurant the first weekend we were available. We came in at about 10:30am and were told the wait would be 35 minutes. Of course we were going to wait but it was nice because we were actually sat within 10 minutes. We decided for a drink we would split the Two Rivers Pomegranate Cider and I also got a coffee with almond milk. I love how on the bottom of the menu it says something along the lines of "It's Pushkin's; of course it's all gluten free!" This was so cute and welcoming. My dad decided to order the burger with the vegan cashew cheese with fries that we could split and I got the Crescent City Fish Sand, no special sauce, add mustard. Our food came out relatively quickly for how busy it was and they gave rather large portions. We definitely did not feel like we were getting ripped off. I thoroughly enjoyed my Cajun spiced fish sandwich, while my dad was stuffed from his burger. The fries were enjoyable it's always nice to be able to get fries from a dedicated gluten free place. So often this is something those of us with celiac disease miss out on. Overall the whole experience was really enjoyable. While we were waiting for our food I went over to where they were selling pastries and got 2 cupcakes to go for myself. (Carrot and vanilla blueberry) We felt like everything was fairly priced and it was a good deal for what you got. On top of that great gluten free and dairy free food! I was disappointed that when I went they had no blueberry pancakes on the menu anymore! That's actually what I wanted to get. Oh well maybe next time they'll be back on the menu. Definitely stop and give this place a try, even if you're not gluten free this spot is a gem for brunch!
A dream come true! From the owners of Pushkins Bakery, there's finally an awesome 100% gf restaurant in town. They mostly just have a brunch menu but I think I read on Facebook that they plan to expand to longer hours eventually and I'm hoping that includes dinner. Just been there once since they opened 6 days ago but the service was great, servings large and delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful. I'm just so happy this place exists. Olga and Danny are so nice too, which makes it easy to support their businesses.
