So nice to try the gf empanada (chicken) and a sweet one with cheese inside and yucca bread with cheese inside, also a house salad that was great! I also took the chia coconut pudding to go for breakfast! So far feeling well! She said most of the food is baked and they use a separate oven, so I felt pretty good about it! So many choices I couldn’t try them all! Really wish there were more options like this at home and when traveling!
Ordered GF empanada and yuca fries. At least one was not fried in the dedicated fryer, because I was sick afterward...
Beef empanada and Yucca bread were delicious. Warning....the dining area is small. Maybe seats 20 people .
I visited for lunch while in Tulsa for the day. They are familiar with Celiac and assured me all the gf items are prepared and stored separately. There are 4 gf savory empanadas, 2 gf entrees, a gf cake, all the sides are gf, and a salad. I had a gf beef empanada and the yucca “bread” which are cheesy, doughy balls. Mmmm. Delicious.
so delicious! empanada menu is not marked as gluten-free but they do have gluten free empanadas.
Love this place!!! I tried the Gluten Free Beef empanadas, chicken empanadas, Arroz con pollo, yucca fries and fried plantains, everything was delicious.
Wow! This was OUTSTANDING. Que Gusto’s was phenomenal, we almost didn’t go due to being short on time but I am so thankful we did! I have celiac & food allergies and eating out can be a challenge - we found this shop on the findmeglutenfreeapp and it had awesome reviews so we gave it a try. My food allergy detection dog cleared everything that we ordered - they were incredibly kind and accommodating to us and took time to make sure they understood my needs. I am so thankful to have stopped here - I can’t decide what I liked most out of what we ordered because I ate it all — so so good! The yucca fries were way better than any French fry I’d ever had!
UPDATE: I hadn’t been here in a while because of the Cov. I needed to grab a GF lunch on our way to visit family and they open at 10:00 which was perfect. I’m so glad I did. I opened my meal in front of everyone else who was eating hot dogs and I had the lunch of envy. (Yes, as hard as it was to share I did.) My review below stands. It’s still AMAZALICIOUS. It was my first time to do a call in order and I had no reaction. I bumped them up to the big 5 stars and am looking forward to going back soon! What a great place to eat. Friendly people and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to GF and food allergies. The overhead menu is clearly marked for GF, peanut, tree nut and vegan dishes. I wanted a GF empanada so bad but it had almonds in it so I had to pass. I ordered Arroz con Pollo and yucca fries instead and it was delicious. As I was eating I noticed there was Yucca bread on the menu with the description of ‘5 cheesy bread balls’ that were marked GF so I ordered some. They were SERIOUSLY tasty. It is a more delicious version of stuffed crust on a pizza. I could definitely eat myself silly with those. By the way...my husband really enjoyed his glutened empanada!
I LOVED my meal here. They were so friendly and helpful, and very reassuring about what I could eat and the safety of the items. They made some great recomendations too, for new unlisted GF items. Everything was absolutely delicious. I came with a group and we share items: empanadas, ceviche and arroz con pollo and more. All amazing! We also got a small cake to go made with yucca. It was so moist and delicious, it reminded me of sticky toffee pudding. 100% reccomend this place.
Extremely rude owner. Menu items marked gluten free then told they were not gf after we ordered and paid. Half of menu items were not even available to order. Expensive for the quality of food we ended up with. Owner yelled and disciplined her new employee (her first day) in front of all the customers. We were told to stand outside in the rain because we had a water bottle with us when we walked in. If it hadn’t been so hard to find gf food we wouldn’t have stayed.
This place was great! I had the yucca bread, gf empanada with pork, some fried plantains and a (gf) sweet empanada. All was really good. The sweet empanada was my favorite. The gf empanadas are pretty crumbly, so you’ll need a fork. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable about gluten, celiac disease and cross contamination. Would definitely go back!
Several GF options. They were out of the GF beef empanadas so I got chicken. It does take 20 mins to make the GF ones but so did the rest of our order. Had GF/DF dessert and Yucca fries. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
I had a promo code for Grubhub and decided to get delivery. Can I say Wow!!! I always love a good Latin American food fix, but GF empanadas, yes! Two thumbs up, and the yucca bread and plantain cake were delicious as well! I can’t wait to try more off the menu!
The GF beef empanada is fabulous! It is prepared with almond flour. The yucca bread was a really nice surprise, too. I highly recommend this place. It did take 20 minutes to prepare the GF empanada, but it is worth the wait.
The GF empanada is PHENOMENAL! They keep everything in the kitchen separate for GF preparation, and the 20-minute wait is well worth it. The yucca fries are also delicious. They are also environmentally conscious and do not use plastic utensils and the like and have a recycling bin in the store.
“Latin cafe style”. Good authentic food. Tuesday’s are dedicated to Gluten free “Arepas” (meats in corn stuffed empanada style). Really yummy Yuca Bread (cheesy bread balls). Breakfast option is a plantain cheese empanada. And if you call ahead they will make lunch empanadas GF w/ meat and cheese in them! So good!
