Good food. They seem to be well educated about celiac. They have fried GF options but no dedicated fryer but they were explicit about using a shared fryer. I got a chicken dish and it was delicious.

I went here for the first time and was incredibly impressed and pleasantly surprised by the knowledge of my server regarding my gluten allergy. She immediately asked about my sensitivity, and explained that the pub does NOT have separate fryers, so unfortunately fries, fish and chips (even though the fish can be coated in rice flour, it shares the fryer), etc would not be an option, but she was very patient and helpful with pointing out what would work for me. Limited options, but I ended up with a chicken dish that was superb. Even better, they serve Magners, one of my favorite ciders that I use to frequently enjoy during my studies in Ireland. Overall a great experience - fun atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and great food and drinks!

Great place to go, little drafty in winter, but food is phenomenal. Drink choices are great and the wait staff and chef try to make as much of the meals GF as possible. I was a little wary going there, I dread asking for GF menus and all, but being celiac you gotta do it, and they all know what is and isn't and will do whatever to make why you want GF if they can.

Thankfully our waitress was very knowledgeable and warned me of cross contamination given the fryer is used for deep frying all menu items. Definitely disappointed as I'd read all other reviews and was looking forward to some fish and chips. I landed on one of three GF options, a chicken dish w ham, Brie and mashed. Terrible. My plate was full when I left. The rest of my table had the fish and chips and all said it to be 'ok' but on the very greasy side. No gf bread offerings, sandwiches and rolls aren't an option. Atmosphere was great, our waitress was fantastic. If only the food was good... We won't be back.

Tonight at Quips I had fish n chips in rice flour and it was most excellent and our served brought a complimentary gluten free beer that went perfect with the fish. Excellent experience 5 stars.
