Great neighborhood restaurant in Lincoln Park! Everthing was clearly marked on the menu and my server also asked if anyone had any food allergies. Very attentive staff, the manager also came by and asked how everything was. I split the sweet potatoes cakes with my friend which were fantastic. They tasted like a sweet potato hush puppy. For my main I had the gf mac and cheese which was good (almost reminded me of the Amy’s GF mac and cheese), then for dessert I had the rum cake which was INCREDIBLE. I would go back just to eat that cake. It was so moist and tender and felt like I was eating some kind of churro cake. Overall great dinner, no reaction to anything!
This is my favorite restaurant ever. They have a really good gluten free options. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer and all of the gluten free items are marked. The best thing on the menu is the Mac n’ Cheese (it’s named after me and my sister) and the chicken tenders
Plenty of gluten free items on the menu! Wait staff are friendly and generally knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities; mine went back to the chef when he wasn't sure if an item was gf and came back prepared. Artful presentation of each dish, and absolutely delicious flavors. I had a cauliflower steak with corn grits that was superb, and a Sunday vegetable tortilla soup that was so good I wished it was an entree.
I've been here for Sunday brunch, too, and the menu is equally cognizant of dietary issues. They always offer a creative gf pancake or two. One tends to be more savory, such as turnip - wow! What a flavor profile.
The meat and seafood Egg Benedicts with I believe a hash brown base instead of an English muffin are highly rated in my family.
Great find for celiacs and vegetarians. The restaurant has a really nice selection of both gluten free and vegetarian options. The beet tostadas were excellent and the service was good. Nice ambience as well. Also recommend the sweet potato cake, chicken sandwich, and herb fries.
The food here was delicious! The entire dessert menu can be offered gluten free & there was a decent offering of GF items overall. Having seen someone else’s recommendation, I had the chicken fingers (a kids menu item) & gosh, they were so good! The batter is different/better from what you’d find in the frozen aisle of a grocery store. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful experience here with our 16 year old vegetarian celiac daughter. Most of the menu is marked gf or can be made gf. Separate fryer and very knowledgeable staff. The mac and cheese was the best she has had in a restaurant along with the delicious stuffed potato. All desserts are gf as well. Adorable cozy restaurant in the middle of Lincoln Park. This will definitely be a regular restaurant for us.
When it comes to GF safety and options- this place deserves 5 stars. But their service is so bizarrely bad (for no explainable reason) that I have a hard time committing to the extra long wait for anything to be ordered. Also- they made a big batch of their aioli and it has absolutely zero flavor. It tastes of nothing- it’s bizarre and the fact that they haven’t noticed is alarming. How can you serve a side of nothing? I recommend breakfast over dinner if you want flavorful safe options. Fries are bomb- just don’t get the aioli.
Great experience! Came here not knowing what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised: GF beer on menu, dedicated GF friers and even a GF chocolate cake for dessert! Also, kid menu with GF options: GF chicken fingers (which are better than most place's breaded chicken), and GF spaghetti. Everything we had was excellent, service was great. I had the grass fed burger (no bun) and it was delicious. Casual enough for kids, but still nice enough for an evening out without kids. So glad we found Range. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.
