I am celiac. I have eaten here before and it had always been safe and trustworthy. They have outside dining. Since the pandemic I've found the hostility towards Celiacs to be worse. People seem to believe it's a food fad issue not a deadly immune disorder. The trustworthiness of staff has decreased dramatically. A friend was insistent we go there for my birthday and though I was afraid I'm tired of not living a normal life. Turned out to be all that I feared. I ordered the Risotto. When it came it was pretty soupy but I tried a few bites and the third bite I pulled up spaghetti. It was like someone had dumped the water from a pan used to cook pasta in my risotto. They brought a new bowl which had a completely different consistency. In the end Rare gave me my meal for free which was good because as we left I became sick and we had to pull over where I threw the whole meal up on the side of the road. Happy Birthday! I have been struggling with issues since September '23. It's really hard even for the most excellent Restauranteur like the owner of Rare to keep an eye on all their staff. Some staff are just sloppy, careless or lazy other are purposefully dangerous. The intentions here were good but all was thwarted but a bad member of kitchen staff.
