Amazing Indian food with great service. Our waiter has celiac and guided us through the options. He was very clear about which dishes were totally safe and which may not be guaranteed. The food was delicious. We will certainly be going back next time we are in DC.

One of my favorite restaurants in DC. Staff are always super knowledgeable and discreet, and they have a ton of both GF and DF options.

Lots of gluten free options though some caveats:
(1) They do not have a dedicated fryer and they fry jalebi (fried dough) on site for dessert. So, even non gluten fried dishes may be risky. I didn’t try any.
(2) I was a bit annoyed that I confirmed gluten free dishes with the waiter, and then the chicken biryani (which is gluten free) came out with a bread crust topping. I would make sure you clarify no bread crust topping for any biryani.

Very delicious food, staff was extremely knowledgeable about what I could and could not eat, and I was able to eat a very fair portion of what was on the menu.

The waiter pointed out all the GF options which are a lot, HOWEVER, I would be cautious. Just like the other reviews, I was also hit with some cross contamination and felt so unwell and had a horrible, sour stomach a few hours later that lasted til the morning. Overall, the food there is overrated and I'd look elsewhere. Spice Kraft is Alexandria, VA is amazing and THAT is GF friendly.

Great food but always seem to get sick after eating here...
I went to Rasika West End and although the gluten free menu highlighted the dishes that could get cross-contaminated, my stomach was still upset after ordering one of the safe options. Rasika and Rasika West End are two different restaurants so just be aware of that as well.
Incredibly delicious and numerous safe options!

I highly recommend this restaurant. I told the waiter I couldn't have gluten and he immediately asked if I had celiac. He was very knowledgeable about cross contamination and told me exactly what I could and couldn't have. He also warned me not to share dishes because my husband's had malt vinegar in it. I ate a delicious meal and didn't get sick!

Ask for the gluten allergy menu. They clearly mark cross contamination risks, and almost 75% of the menu is naturally GF, including that famous crispy spinach! Food was fantastic, and the wait staff is super understanding. Reservations are a must.

Interesting food and unique takes on classic Indian dishes. Our server was well-versed in what was GF and what wasn't, and there were a lot of vegetarian options. It can get packed pretty easily, so I'd make reservations, especially if there are more than 2 of you.

Great place.
