Delicious and very safe, with tasty GF bread options to substitute for sandwiches. I eat here about once a week and have never gotten sick. They don’t have a separate prep space so I make sure to let them know I have an allergy and they are always careful. Almost all of their desserts are GF now too, which is π!
Gluten free options are marked on the menu.
Love being able to go to a restaurant and have lots of options and no attitude or blank stares when I mention gluten free. The penne alfredo was DELICIOUS!!! Hubby got the banana pancakes - I thought they were good, he thought they were ok. We also tried a (hostess) cupcake and a donut. Both were so-so - a bit stale. The staff was very friendly. Wish the lasagna, mac & cheese & ramen bowl were available gf. Will definitely be back when in the area.
This place has many gluten-free menu items, but is not safe for someone with celiac. My server told me they do not have a separate prep area and use the same fryer for all items. It would be good for someone wanting to eat less gluten, but not someone with celiac like me. I had iced tea.
Oh... My... Goodness..... This place is DELICIOUS. I had the penne Alfredo and my friend had the nachos with tater tots instead of tortilla chips. Both were beyond delicious. I haven't had Alfredo in years due to my dairy intolerance. I've never had cashew cheeses before but, wow this tasted like it was sprinkled with real parmesan and everything. I'm gluten and dairy free so finding restaurants that fit me has been next to impossible. I didn't even mention all of the pastry options..... Cookies, cakes, ice cream.. This place is addictive .. I'll be a regular from now on.
My husband and I were passing thru Pasadena and decided to check this place out. It is completely vegan and in addition, has a ton of gluten free options, including pancakes, waffles, and cupcakes. I had their "tuna" fish sandwich and my husband had their Reuben. They were both yummy. The manager was very knowledgeable and kind. Lovely patio to sit outside. Will be coming back the next time we are in town!
Remember, people, this place is vegan, not gluten free. However, several items on the menu are labeled gluten free. They have a gluten free pizza crust, but I asked if the toppings on the mushroom pizza were also gluten free. The waiter gave me the standard "they should be" answer. Luckily, the manager overheard the conversation and offered to check for certain. He came back and said that some ingredients might not be gluten free, and since I have Celiac Disease, I probably shouldn't take a chance. I ordered what was essentially a burrito bowl that was marked gluten free. I enjoyed it without any bad side effects.
The staff wasn’t knowledgeable about cross contamination issues. However, they did mention that everything is separate and they don’t mix spoons/spatulas. Got burrito bowl and tested it with Nima. Came gluten free and it was delicious. Overall happy to have a place at the airport which is rare.
