I am dairy and gluten free, so you may be wondering why I would be reviewing pizza, however you can order gluten free pizza crust with any style pizza without cheese, it's almost like a flatbread type thing. I quite enjoy it. In my opinion, red elephants GF pizza crust is very good. It's thin and crunchy on the edges, and thin with a medium thickness in the middle.
After being in the area for 3-days and having trouble finding GF restaurants, I was happy to eat their GF chicken with veggies and their GF pizza, all in one setting. It was good, but not great. Glad to find a place that served GF food.
We really enjoyed our lunch here. They have a separate gluten free menu but they really have a lot more gluten free options than listed on there. Any of their salads are gf (without croutons) and all of their burgers can be on a gf bun. The gf menu is trying to be extra careful of cross-contamination. For example they did not list the bacon burger because it is cooked in the oven with gluten foods. We don't have to be that careful so my husband enjoyed the BBQ Bacon burger. I loved the Bacon Spinach salad and our son had a pizza, which was an average gf pizza but was cheaper than usual ($7). They can also make you a gf elephant ear if you ask. It was the gf pizza crust prepared with cinnamon and sugar. The manager came over and talked to us about all the options and the waitress was very patient. Great place to eat!
Individual sized GF pizza available. Chicken is not an available meat topping unlike previous review but pepperoni or ham are. Found the crust to have a nice crispness and toppings fresh. Also have Woodchuck cider. Limited GF menu but one is readily available. Server asked if GF for celiac disease and explained they ask because if "yes" they take extra precautions (to avoid cross-contamination). Good place for good pizza!
I usually get the grilled salmon with Mojo sauce on the side and it's pretty good! I don't feel sick afterwards. However, whenever I get their pizza I feel sick about an hour or two later. I am also dairy and soy free, so I assume that those products must be involved in making their GF crust.
Pretty good crust, though a bit bland. The staff was very knowledgeable. The GF crust took a bit longer than my husband's pizza but the manager actually comp us a second pizza without us saying anything, to account for the timing difference.
This restaurant was awesome! The pizza was quite possibly the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. The server was very knowledgable, and the cook even came out to ensure everything was okay. I was very impressed and will definitely be returning to this establishment before leaving Tampa!! Hope you all have as good an experience as we have! :)
