Wonderful! It was so nice to have a special, full-page, gluten-free menu. I was disappointed they had just run out of Lobster rolls, but quickly switched to a Bacon Mushroom Swiss Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. They were Excellent!

There are previous reviews that mention the poor quality, crumbly, bun. I agree, but it was a minor issue. I recommended to them that they switch to O'Doughs buns.

Had the lobster roll with french fries served on a gluten free roll and fries were cooked in a dedicated fryer. It was delicious!! Highly recommend. Our server was very knowledgeable about Celiac.

Amazing restaurant, great food, great selection of gluten free foods, kind and knowledgeable staff about gluten free foods. They have a separate fryer. I have always felt safe eating there and I have never been sick.

Awesome quality ‘bar food’ that is gluten free plus staff was awesome! Everything was super tasty and fresh. Highly recommend the fish cakes & poutine. Also had gluten reduced beer option.

What a great evening!! This restaurant has extremely knowledgeable staff, the head chef is celiac, has a separate fryer, a full GF menu!! Highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting the area!!

This is a fantastic little pub. Very knowledgeable friendly staff. A coeliac chef is always a bonus. Apparently they have a cafe too with GF cakes. I shall be visiting there too. I had the inferno starter which was delicious (hubby and I shared it) I had the chicken burger mains. Highly recommended if you are coeliac

The chef here is gluten intolerant. The owner is very proud of how many gluten free options they have and how safe it is. There were many choices and they have a gluten free frier. I felt very safe eating here. The menu is more like bar food than fine dining. This place is friendly, low key and popular with locals. I would go back.

We went there today, We loved that they had a gluten-free menu. However , I ordered the baked haddock platter , not much on the platter had 1 side & the fish was very plain! My friend had the chicken wings which were good and the sweet potato fries we’re very tasty ! Limited choices!

I recently ate at the Red Herring. They are very sensitive and knowledgeable about coeliac. They have a dedicated gluten-free menu with separate fryer for fries. I had the lobster roll (on a gluten-free bun) and fries. It was delicious ! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Very large gluten free menu, celiac safe (but not a dedicated facility) with its own fryer and excellent knowledge of celiac and kitchen protocols. Restaurant is less fancy than some of the other ones around but lovely to sit on the patio by the wharf with some live music.

Our waiter was very helpful. They had a gluten free menu. I did ask for a gluten free beer and they suggested Budweiser which is advertised as wheat free but not gluten free. I mentioned it to our waiter and he said it was an error on the barmaids part. Still worth a 5.

The owner is a celiac and the kitchen is well informed and prepared to make just about everything gluten free. Their fish chowder with gf bread is delicious!

One of the kitchen staff is celiac, and there’s a separate gluten free menu, including chicken wings! That are fried, not baked! They have a dedicated fryer so wings and fries were good. The gluten eaters in our party were also happy with their burgers and lobster roll.

This place was a great option after we went on a whale watching tour and has typical pub food with a designated GF fryer. We were told that the head cook is also gluten intolerant so they are knowledgeable. They have several GF options. We ordered nachos, potato skins, chicken wings and salad--- all from the GF menu. My daughter who has celiac disease and is very sensitive to traces of gluten did not react to anything we ate.
