Update 9/2021
Don’t bother…… After Covid, everything has changed.
No gluten free menu anymore, in fact I was told by my server NOTHING was gluten free.
When we started to quiz him, he got the manager who remembered what “used” to be gluten free and he talked to the kitchen staff and prepared my meal gluten free.
The selection was extremely limited.
The food was “ok”, I could only get salad, shrimp and baked potato. ( the rice tasted “off”)
My husband who isn’t gluten free, found that the items he used to order were gone!
So he ordered something new that he could have gotten at a fast food restaurant.
Disappointed.
I will not be returning.
Ask for the gluten free guide when they seat you - it’s a book - but you won’t regret it.
All staff we have encountered have asked the chef if they are not knowledgeable about gluten in certain dishes, just ask.
I have “go-to” fav’s: Skewered scallops, shrimp, baked potato, steamed broccoli & salad.
So far no reaction, but I take a supplement, “gluten cutter”, when eating out ANYWHERE.
You never know where there could be cross contamination, and this supplement has saved me on the road.
My husband and I have been going to this Red Lobster for years and I would’ve given them a five star, but since Red Lobster left the Darden group, their food has changed a bit.
