Shared frier. Gf soy sauce, gf fried rice! Lots of "wok hei"! Very knowledgeable though I did talk to 3 different people to get all the answers. Bit pricey but the food is good. They said they can make just about anything GF. I had the Thai basil, definitely not traditional but good none the less. The sischuan chicken good too. We got the medium spicy and little spicy. I should have ordered the hot. Definitely for Americans taste. Better than standard takeout. you get lots of veggies too and they are actually cooked through!
We went in since it was are first time. I asked and the lady just looked at me like (of course we have gluten free, since I'm also vegetarian) told me what to order. Ok. It was amazing. Just do what she feels you. 😂
So many gluten-free options!! The lady at the desk took a paper menu and marked out everything that can’t be done gluten free, and the rest is GF upon request!!! I’m getting the Singapore noodle today.
Placed an order over the phone and the employee was easily able to help me determine what they could make GF! He double checked my bag and items when I picked it up to make sure the GF items were labeled. So happy to have some good Chinese food again! The sesame tofu wasn’t as crispy as I would’ve liked but happy either way.
UPDATE: I’m updating my review a year or so later. I stopped eating here because of a scary pattern. One time they brought out a non-GF dish for me. I asked if it was GF and they said—unequivocally—yes. I took a bite and then a few seconds later someone ran out of the kitchen to take it away from me. It wasn’t GF after all and they apologized profusely. Unfortunately, it was too late. Needless to say, that carelessness made me sick. Please note that I always make a big deal out of the need for GF and that I’m sensitive to cross-contamination, so their wires clearly got crossed in the kitchen. I thought that would be an isolated incident, but I was mistaken. The next time I went, I got sick again. That time it seemed to be cross-contamination. I didn’t give it any more chances than that.
I've been here several times and it's always good. They can accommodate multiple dishes with their gluten free soy sauce. I'm assuming they do well preventing cross-contamination because I've haven't felt ill after any of my visits. I usually order the chicken teriyaki. Also, the beef chow fun is great.
Can I give more than 5 stars? They were fantastic! Nothing is marked on the menu but they are happy to accommodate. Server was very knowledgeable: I asked for the chef special Singapore Noodles and she said I needed to sub chicken for pork. I didn’t get sick. It was also delicious! Mom said it was the best Shrimp Lo Mein she’s had.
I was really impressed with Red Pepper! I ordered and asked about gluten free options, she asked what I had in mind and she said it wasn't as good gf and recommended another item. When I arrived to pick up my food she gave me a menu circled with options that were gf or could be made gluten free. She said they have 3 cooks who all take it very seriously. I had even ordered a side and she told me when I picked up my food they went ahead and made it gluten free since I didn't specify - just in case. The food and service were great and I'll definitely go back!
Delicious Chinese food. They have gluten free soy sauce, and can accommodate with a lot of dishes. The Thai basil chicken was amazing, and I look forward to going back.
