I came across this place all the way out in LI because I was at a birthday party. Let me tell you something, the staff was so knowledgeable about Celiac disease. They were very accommodating. I had the Margherita cauliflower crust. As a Brooklyn girl, I was so surprised that it was delicious and I enjoyed every minute of it. I enjoyed every minute of that pizza that I ordered another two to go. The mozzarella was fresh and so was the basil. The pizza wasn't oily at all. A big shout-out to the staff who are so patient and very cultured. Another big shout-out to Sal who took so good care of me. Sal is a very gentle soul and I feel very privileged to have run into him and the wait staff.
Red Volpe makes the best gluten free pizza around. The taste and texture is on point. Sal the owner is extremely knowledgeable about celiac and goes above and beyond to ensure there is zero cross contamination- he's even made me pasta fagioli which I truly missed since being diagnosed.
