Delicious BBQ. Only place I've ever been able to get GF wings

I’ve eaten here a few times. Never bad food, never a bad experience. Quiet, simple eatery with nice options. All their BBQ and sauces are GF.

Simple but hearty barbecue plates; they have a separate gluten-free menu available if you ask. Most things on the menu seemed to be available gluten-free.

I had brisket with mash, BBQ sauce is also gluten free

They have a separate gluten free menu and they will go through the menu to show you what you can and can’t have.

I am a symptomatic Coeliac and did not get sick!!

Once I mentioned that I was a celiac I was offered a separate menu with all the gluten free options. Fries were marked as gluten free, but cooked in the same oil as other non gluten-free options. Server was knowledgeable about gluten and when she wasn't sure, went to the back to check.

I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes. Everything was tasty, especially the mashed potatoes! I did not have any reaction to gluten after visiting this restaurant and would definitely return!

The waitress was very helpful and knew exactly what was gluten free and helped us through the menu. Food was delicious and they have gluten free ciders in a can! Price was okay, did not get sick.

As a local, I frequent Redneck Bistro often. It’s hands down one of my favorite restaurants, and it’s helpful that I know what I can and can’t get now! I’m gluten and dairy free and the two dishes that I know that are solidly safe for both allergies are the pulled pork sandwich on a gf bun and the ribs. But there are other gf options, including gf buns! They are delicious - had to have my non gf husband taste test it for me just make sure it was safe the first I had it 🙃 Don’t eat the fries, though! They don’t have a dedicated gf fryer so anything fried will have serious cross contamination. All BBQ sauces are house made and gf, but the hickory kind has butter in it, so dairy free eaters beware! Dairy free options are few, but enough. I’m not celiac so I can’t speak on cross contamination, but I’m going to assume you will probably get it - they try, but they don’t have a dedicated gf space or kitchen

Fantastic BBQ - safe for celiacs. Separate GF menu. Waiter was awesome. Food delish. Lots of choices. Celiac hubby and daughter loved their meals and neither got sick. Great place.

I called ahead and ver the phone they were knowledgeable about Celiac and cross contamination. There was a good sized menu, much more than most places. I chose to get a burger and the bun was excellent. We also got the nacho starter, which is enough for an entree itself. I was thrilled. I am SUPER sensitive and 8 hours later I am totally finally. Thrilled.

I decided for this place after reading some reviews here and I was very happy I did! Staff was very friendly, our server was very knowledgeable, their home made barbecue sauce was Gluten Free and soo good!!

Huge portions. Food was excellent and there is an entirely separate menu. We had gf nachos with the bbq chicken. All BBQ is gf and made in house. Burgers were huge and delicious. My kids also loved the hotdog and grilled chicken.

GF menu. Server was well versed on GF options. Brisket platter was amazing!! V Separate GF menu. Covid precautions done well.

Great service, great food, very accommodating. They offer a separate gluten free menu with several options. Staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating. The homemade BBQ sauces were delicious and GF. I had a burger with a GF bun, and shared pulled pork nachos for an appetizer. Very pleased with the service and food!

Staff is friendly and everything is homemade. I’ve had the burger, salad and BBQ platter to share without problems.

Gluten free but food was subpar

Lots of gluten free options and staff was very knowledgeable. Knocked a star off because food was mediocre at best (I had nachos-basically the same as what you get at the movie theater). They were very friendly, just not my style of food.

Do not overlook. Staff was very aware and they have a GF menu. Eat here with confidence. Food is good. Friendly atmosphere. Only drawback is that they do not have a dedicated fryer - however they are aware and do not recommend having the fries.

Pretty large gluten free menu (you have to request it when you get in). Grilled chicken sandwich was tasty and huge and came with chips. Service was good and staff was knowledgeable.

Very knowledgeable staff/owners. They even use arrowroot flour as a thickening agent for soups. I feel very comfortable eating here!

What an amazing find! The staff was lovely and very accommodating. A great casual location in the middle of everything. Food was fantastic. Only thing on the wish list is a dedicated fryer for French fries and a gf beer. They did have a cider which was very good. Gluten free options were plentiful, including gf buns. Our table of 10 had an array of appetizers, wings and burgers. Everyone said their food was great. We would definitely visit again when in Lake Placid. Thank you for the options and your hospitality!

5 Stars for gluten alone.... Awesome selection... Taste- expect average pub fare and BBQ... Service was slow and chaotic (some employees didn't show). But they know their stuff and it's safe and tasty.

Awesome burger here! Bummer that you can’t eat fries but they have potato chips that are GF and the bbq sauces are a also delicious GF delights!

Based upon previous rating, I went here for beer and a burger. Did not disappoint. Friendly, knowledgeable waitress and a wide selection of GF. Had Glutenberg beer which was so close to the beer I remember-- Heaven. Grass fed burger on GF bun was also fabulous ( bun did not disintegrate). No GF fries. (Warning about mixed fryer). After a long day of hiking, was a good place to eat in Lake Placid.

Great! Menu is solid. They encourage you to ask for gf menu on the main menu. Plus only restaurant I've found that serves glutenburg beer, and the APA of all things. It's been the best experience for gluten free I've had in LP so far
