Review of Restauracja Pod Baranem

Wonderful location near Old Town. Not only is there a gluten free menu, they have gluten free breads, deserts, dumplings... HOWEVER they are made with spelt. Of course we are very suspicious of getting things I normally can't have, but the 2nd half of the menu is exclusively gluten free items - like spinach and cheese pancakes/crepes, 4 or 5 kinds of dumplings, and cakes! We asked what they were made from - because of course we were suspicious - but the server only knew they used Orkisz. Since that didn't come up in our translation app, we just went with it. Delicious! It wasn't until later that we figured out that orkisz is spelt. Does that mean it actually had gluten? I don't know. I know I didn't have a reaction; that's all I can say.
