Please be cautious if coeliac. The menu contains dishes marked "gluten-free" which were also confirmed by two staff as being gluten-free, but after asking further, it turns out they're cooked in the same fryer as gluten-containing foods.
We spoke with a lady who seemed to be the manager/senior staff, and she insisted that she has had many gluten-free customers eat her food without problems. She didn't seem to understand when I explained that consumption of gluten may not always show outward symptoms. It was disappointing because the signage looked very promising regarding catering for coeliacs, but there is no real understanding of the serious long-term damage that gluten contamination can pose for coeliacs. She remarked that we should not order fried foods if we are that sensitive to gluten, and that it would be impossible to find a dedicated gluten-free fryer. We would never expect or ask for dedicated fryers, and accept that there is always a risk of cross-contamination in the kitchen, but it is irresponsible for them to label foods as "gluten-free" when they are very definitely not.
