Restaurant Kariatis

Visited Kariatis while in Chania on our honeymoon. I ordered gluten free pasta with tomato sauce, and they were able to boil in separate water and prepare in a separate area for me. The waiter said they normally can’t do that if it’s busy, so if you’re sensitive to cross contamination go when it’s less busy or make sure you ask about how it’s prepared. I also had the green salad which was tasty and did not have a reaction. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice.

Best restaurant in Chania. We come back here everytime we visit Crete. The food is great and the staff is very helpful with glutenfree options.

Came here with my boyfriend. I asked if they did gf pizza or pasta and the waiter said they only have gf pasta but is cooked in the same water as regular pasta! What’s the point?! I ordered the risotto which was tasty. We received the dessert menu and they said nothing on it was gluten free but the ice cream. Wouldn’t recommend.

They had very good food for everybody also for my girl which can't eat gluten. They had also a mousse dessert without gluten. Nice that they can have something Else than icecream for a change. We was there to times in Juli 2016.
