Wheat Allergy

Overall Rating

I had really high hopes after reading the reviews of this place but unfortunately I did not have the same experience. I ordered a pasta dish and was reassured many times that it would be gluten free and there would be no cross contamination. I have an extreme allergy to wheat, i go into anaphylaxis, so when I ate my first couple of bites and was fine I continued. Near the end of the meal I began weezing and shortly after found myself vomiting outside of the restaurant. While I didn’t go into anaphylactic shock, everything about my reaction indicated that there was some cross contamination and if you’re someone with a similar allergy or a very severe form of celiacs, this may not be the place for you.

Delicious food and great atmosphere! We arrived when they opened for dinner and it filled up quickly. I tested my paella with Nima and it was all smiles. Everything was delicious!

Excellent dinner. GF options not obvious on menu but nearly all pasta dishes and pizzas can be made GF. Terrific, elegant atmosphere.

They have an allergy menu with everything clearly marked, but they recommended something that wasn’t on it (a traditional pork stew). I took a chance and tried it, and when it came to the table it had crispy fried potatoes on the top and when I questioned if it was gluten free, they realised the mistake and took it away and brought me one with chips on top that they said were made in a separate fryer. They also gave me non gf bread rolls and then a bowl of olives which when I checked, they immediately took away! They eventually brought me gf bread after multiple requests. I loved the food and I didn’t get ill, so I’d recommend it, but be careful and double check everything.

I had the mushroom and cream spaghetti and was delicious! My non-celiac family all loved their food as well. They offer gluten free pizza and pasta so you can choose pretty much whatever you want from the menu. Really good!
