Extremely friendly staff here, said I was gluten free on the booking and double checked I was coeliac and told me precautions would be taken. I was talked through the menu what I could and couldn’t have. Other members of the party ordered bread for a starter, and the lady brought GF crackers with butter, olive oil and olives for me complementary. I had the feijoada de bacalhau and it was really tasty.
Went there due to the good FMGF reviews.
Very sweet and caring owner. Menu labeled GF, some others can be made GF.
Caspaggio: my partner ordered it and the owner (who takes all orders) offered it to be gf as an option so we said yes so I can als try. Came with gluten-containing fried onions and thanks to my celiacs instincts I asked twice before they noticed they were indeed not GF. Got another one after that and my partner could eat the initial one. They were very sorry after and took it very seriously (changed my cuttlery without asking etc) but still an uncomfortable mistake.
Food very good but be extra careful with the fried onions!!!
We called and they were fully booked but they decided to squeeze our party of 11 in after hearing we had 3 with celiac & 4 nut allergies. Mimi took great care of our party! We enjoyed the Burrata salad, Codfish & Bean Stew, the Shrimp Risotto and my son had the child’s meal which was steak, fried egg and rice. He is 14 and although it was a large portion he ended up ordering 2 because we had not ate much for lunch. Everything was presented beautifully and they were over the top accommodating. Highly recommend!
I got here early as someone else suggested to secure outside seating, though, inside looked nice as well. The terrace filled up very quickly. Great views, excellent customer service and the best risotto I have ever had (I got the shrimp risotto). Risotto is pretty much my go to dish and this place really knows how to do it well. The gluten free (and dairy free) items are clearly marked on the menu they give you at your table. 5 of the 7 entrees are gf which provided a nice set of options. Some might not like the limited amount of choices but I find that when a restaurant has a small amount of items on the menu, they typically do those really well.
Right on the Ribeira Riverside in Porto. My wife is celiac and we were very well attended throughout our meal. Menu had symbols to indicate gluten safe options as well as vegetarian ones. They went especially out of their way to make us feel welcome and celiac safe. Price was reasonable given the location.
