Celiac

After telling the server, I had celiac, the chef came out and talked to me and told me that he would try his best to keep everything safe. I was told that everything I ordered was gluten free. Later that night, I got very sick and then called, and they said they used a shared fryer. I was never informed of this while at the restaurant. Very disappointed. Do not recommend if you have celiac.

After I informed the server that I had Celiac she told the chef. The chef came to my table and told me he could not prevent cross contamination as the kitchen is small and so I ended up leaving. I appreciate their honesty, but I have to give this place 1 star because it is not safe if you have Celiac as the chef kindly informed me.

A friend ordered the Laksa Noodle Pot for me to have at her dinner party (as a Celiac safe option). It was prepared when the kitchen wasn’t busy and they were made aware that I have Celiac. Sadly, I was very ill after eating it. Having brought the leftovers home I later tested with my Nima sensor. I was out of test capsules which is why I didn’t do that in the first place. Needless to say, the test detected gluten. I would not recommend eating here.

The food is great and the gf desserts are amazing! I’ve been here several times and always feel safe about eating gluten free. Not only is the menu marked but the waitress made substitutions to be extra careful about my allergy (example: switching the peanut sauce to a gf sauce for the spring rolls).

I have been here 3 times. They have a lot of GF options. The first time I had tacos and found them to be quite bland and dry. Thought it was a complete rip off and vowed never to go again. However, went a second time and had the noodle bowl and it was delicious. Went back a third time and had the pad thai and also had a GF cake for dessert. However, got really sick after that. Not a big fan.

I was pleasantly surprised upon finding this restaurant. Nowhere to be found on this app but the menu and staff were very Celiac friendly. Delicious, fresh, sustainable food options. I will continue to return when back in VT.
