GF fried pickles, GF fried chicken sandwich, GF Duck confit tacos all delicious!
Entire menu can be made GF.
Can’t wait to go back and try the tempura sushi rolls.
I wish you could have seen the look on my (GF/Celiac-diagnosed) adult daughter's face when we sat down and looked at the Rhody Roots menu! She is ordinarily limited to one or two salad options on a restaurant menu, and even then with some concern about the possibility of cross-contamination. (Celiac is NOT a dietary choice,) Every single item on the menu at Rhody Roots is both delicious and can be prepared as gluten-free. We shared amazing meals, and the waitress (co-owner) was more than helpful, even indicating that the overwhelming # of fries on my own dinner plate were also safe for my daughter to share. It almost made me "cry for happy." Please, people, know that everything on the menu that we tried was absolutely delicious. We all need to be able to keep this amazing couple's restaurant in business! 🤗
What an AMAZING spot! The vibe is wonderful and the food is even better. Everything is cooked with rice flour and virtually everything on the menu is gluten free friendly except for 2 sushi dishes that are soaked in soy sauce. My partner is not gluten free and will get everything gluten free (with joy) because it is that good. You can tell the food is cooked with intention to being gluten free safe and not an after thought. I also can’t have dairy and that doesn’t drastically limit what I can eat here either. You know it’s good when folks who aren’t gluten free enjoy it!
Excellent. A ton of options and the food is really good. One of the owners has celiac’s so they understand cross contamination, I felt really safe.
Went there on a Friday mid morning. We sat outside with our dog and it was great. The wait staff member brought my dog water and was super friendly. My wife and I ordered the pear salad to share and 2 orders of fish and chips. Food was GREAT. Prices were reasonable and drinks were funky and tasty. Next time we come back from NY we will be back. Best thing is that everything on the menu can be done gluten free on separate fryers and as per the wait staff, at a different kitchen space. AWESOME
I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. My mind is blown!! It was so great. We got the calamari, fish and chips and sushi. The fried food was so light and crispy. Everything in house is gluten free. And not to mention the drinks were some of the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back. A must try!
Fantastic spot! Staff is super nice and friendly and the whole menu can be made GF!! First place I’ve found like this. We’ve been a few times and have tried the French toast with wonderful toppings, poutine, chicken and waffles and lobster roll with Gf bun! Staff takes gluten allergies seriously. We will be regular customers! Board games also available to play and outdoor seating where pups are welcomed!
The entire menu can be made gf even french toast! There is no gluten flour in house and the frier is gf!
I hadn’t heard of this restaurant and I wish I had earlier. I struggle to find good quality from scratch GF food and today I had the best lobster roll and chowder! My husband had regular fish and chips and we were host very impressed and satisfied! And it was take out- 20 minutes over the border! Lol 5 stars isn’t enough!!! Great place and we will be back to eat in. Excellent!!!
Outstanding food and an insane amount of options, literally the whole menu can be done GF! There was ONE gelato that wasn’t GF and I didn’t want it anyway ohhhhh and there were 4 others that were GF! The most challenging part of Rhody Roots is deciding what to get because as a celiac most of the time your menu choices are so narrow you become accustomed to lack of choice & at Rhody Roots you have SO much choice!!!!!! Absolutely remarkable. I’m still full & I already can’t wait to go back! Our waitress Jamie was amazing and very well-versed with dietary restrictions and needs. Outstanding!
My new favorite place. Everything they make can be made gluten free including fried chicken and fish and even chicken and waffles. We were wondering what they made the waffles out of because they were so damn good, and overheard that they use coconut flour and actually don’t have any wheat flour on site. The food was really amazing and I highly recommend the poutine made with duck fat. The portions were pretty generous and we ended up ordering way too much food. The prices were also very reasonable even before you consider its upscale food in an expensive location. The drinks were small, but unlike anything I have ever had before and they can even add CBD oil for an up charge. It’s a small eclectic place, and wasn’t too busy on a Saturday night. The decor and food is definitely trying for trendy, but is a little weird, for example they had an old CRT TV from like 1980 in the unisex bathroom. They have outdoor seating and are dog friendly if you sit outside. They also made it clear they were LGBT+ friendly. This is the best place I have found for GF (and/or vegan) in about a 30 mile radius.
I ordered to go using their online website - you can specify if you want it gf and also leave notes
When I went to pick up, the waitress and the cooks assured me my meal was prepared safely.
Just had the gf fish sandwich and gf fries! Soooo good. The seasoning on the fries are addicting and the fish was so nice and flaky I loved it.
It took me a minute to find it - I drove by. It shares a parking lot with the Citizens Bank
Excellent brunch! My daughter who has celiac enjoyed the GF pancakes with homemade hazelnut cream, maple syrup, fresh strawberries and a side of bacon. The rest of the gang enjoyed the French toast, Traditional Breakfast, Mac and cheese, and I had the Beet salad which was out of this world. They can make anything on the menu GF!! (I was told they do not have any wheat flour in their kitchen.) Lyric, our server was very knowledgeable about GF. She was super pleasant and did an excellent job making our brunch special.
