I commend the effort of my waitress, but her lack of knowledge regarding celiac disease and what foods do/don't contain gluten needs improvement. I ordered the turkey breast with mole sauce and corn chowder. Even though I let her know about the necessity for my food to be gluten free, my corn chowder came with a piece of bread floating on top. After we explained that I can't have the soup because it touched the bready she realized that the soup contained gluten as well. At this point, everyne in my family could tell that our waitress was annoyed at the accomodations we were asking for, even though we explained that it's a medical disease, not a choice. When the turkey came out, it was sitting over fried tortilla chips. We explained that I can't eat tortilla chips if they were fried in oil that had been in contact with gluten and that I can't eat the turkey if the chips had been cross contaminated. Sheutt even more annoyed when she had to ask the chef about the cross contamination status of the tortilla chips. Overall, the food was okay, but the entire experience with this server was not the best. I was told the berries and ice cream were gluten free, and they were delicious!

Fantastic place to eat. make sure you let staff know if you are celiac or not. I got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and a side salad with blue cheese and it was phenomenal. Mom got the honey and herb glazed chicken with acorn squash and loved it. would come back again
