Rising Hearts Bakery

Had the whoopie pies from this bakery recently. Taste was fine, but I'm pretty sure it glutened me. If you read the 'What's in Our Products' section of their website, there is a statement about how all products are made in a facility that also uses gluten/soy/tree nuts. I don't know if this means a shared commercial baking facility or what, but I would NOT consider this place to be dedicated gluten free.

How confident are you that this establishment takes safety precautions against cross-contact?

— Not very

Completely gluten free, but unfortunately also taste free and dry. Bought a wide variety of baked goods and even the complementary sugar cookies were bland. Definitely disappointed.

You should know this is a pick-up window and many of the items are frozen. So if you are visiting from out of town, don't show up expecting to get breakfast here and eat it immediately. Also, the pumpkin muffins were terrible. Grainy and too much nutmeg. We also got a whoopie pie, which was better. I would not return here. Many better gluten-free options in LA.

I like Rising Hearts Bakery, but was recently disappointed to see one of the employees with her gluten containing food sitting next to her seat behind the counter. She had pasta and pizza from Pizza Hut. The pizza box was open, so she may have been eating it between serving customers. Although the pizza could theoretically have been gluten free, the pasta surely was not, which makes me suspect that none of it was gluten free. I don’t blame the young woman for eating a gluten filled lunch, but she should show some respect for the safety of others by eating in a separate room and then washing her hands before serving customers.

The first place I take my gluten free friends! The brioche rolls are awesome and the “kitchen sink” cookies are bonkers. Also kosher, so many dairy and egg free options for vegans.

First quality bagel that I’ve had in years! There were so many gluten and dairy free options, I was honestly amazed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and took my bagel fresh out of the oven so it was still warm. The everything bagel was fabulous, and so were the lemon cookies.

Los of selection. I had a cupcake it was very dense and heavy. I had a blueberry scone, it was good. I didn't feel super welcome by the staff. I didn't find them very friendly.

Yummy bakery, all gluten free. Treats like cupcakes, bread, jalapeño cheddar bagels, you name it.

Thank you so much for making food I can eat and making it taste delicious!!! Sampled the brioche and took it home. Just gobbled down the pecan pie and regretting I didn’t get more. Can’t wait to eat the rest of what I got.

Dedicated gluten free bakery. The brownies and cookies were good. The cupcakes were very dense. Icing was very sweet. Not my favorite, but it would do in a crunch.

Have thoroughly enjoyed most of the things from here.

Rosemary croutons - a little too much rosemary, they end up tasting bitter

Cookies - FANTASTIC chewy, soft, great texture and very flavorful

Cupcakes - are great they can be a little dry depending on what time of day you go

Hamburger buns - these were ok. They fall apart really easily and the flavor is really multigrain.

Ciabatta bread - these are my favorite to use for hamburgers and sandwiches. They hold up well to toasted and can soak up some sauce without falling apart.

Bagels - these are ok, not my favorite.

My family got me the most delicious chocolate banana cake with strawberry frosting from Rising Hearts for my bday! GF and DF but didn't taste like either and all of my friends and family loved it. Love this place so much.

Gluten free S'more cupcake and gluten free breadsticks! Really good!

Dedicated facility. Nice people. No dairy so the cheesecake isn't my favorite. But otherwise really good.

We bought 6 different cupcakes and a chipwich. They were all so delicious! My daughter and I have Celiac and we shed some tears at the choices and that it was a completely safe place to eat. The snicker doodle & chocolate chip cookie dough were our favorite cupcakes by far. No fresh bagels on Sundays though so if you're driving far keep in mind you'll have to buy frozen.

this bakery boasts a wide variety of gluten-free, dairy free and kosher options so no matter your dietary restrictions you will find something just for you. Don't have a sweet tooth? check out their rosemary and garlic breadsticks, focaccia bread, bagels, rolls and pizza crust.

Their bagels fresh will make you cry they are so good. (I'm just glad they only come in a four pack because I will eat them all at once.) And their brioche is amazing. You can even leave it out on the counter and it doesn't go stale. However, stay away from their sweets. I don't know if it's because they're vegan or kosher or soy-free but there is a funky taste to them. That's why I'm only giving 4 stars.

I first went here in 2010 when I found out I had to start eating gluten-free, and the cupcake I bought was so gross that I started crying. But that said, I've been back several times since & every other experience has been great! The frozen bake-at-home cinnamon rolls are amazing! Best GF cinnamon rolls I've ever had.

I love the carrot cake and the cheesecake. I've eaten gluten and dairy free now for 4 years. Their desserts are delicious.

This bakery is great! The are not only gluten free but the are dairy free as well! Their brownies are very moist and the chocolaty flavor is too die for! I bought a piece of their cheesecake!!! You would never know it was gluten/dairy free!

I tried the carrot cake and red velvet cake. Both were delicious and flavorful. I really liked the carrot cake. This place is Celiac friendly as it's a dedicated gluten free facility.
