Got dinner here. Made a reservation and indicated the allergy on the reservation. Wheat friendly dishes were listed on the menu. When we arrived, we were assigned a special diets knowledgeable cast member. He was incredibly helpful and reassuring that the meal would be made in its own pan in a safe area. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! My order came out with an allergy indication stick and I did not get sick! He even tried to find a GF dessert for me, thinking the blueberry cobbler might be possibility, but upon asking if the oats came from a facility that processes wheat, he checked and said they were so we skipped on that. Amazing experience though! Felt very safe.
went at noon for lunch and they apparently had a new brunch menu, which had practically nothing for celiacs. the only listed GF option was an oatmeal bowl, and when we asked the server for more options, he said most options would have cross-contact issues, except for the all-american breakfast (which we ordered)
so, it was just scrambled eggs, greasy bacon, and some added fruit. not exactly worth wasting park time for 😬
Pretty good but had some glaring issues.
They were accommodating. Options are limited but by no means bad. I got the meatballs (make sure to confirm no sauce because the sauce has soy sauce in it), the market fish (which had the bitterest salad I’ve ever eaten with it; not a fan), and the cherry cobbler which was delicious. I wouldn’t come back here, but I enjoyed it. Also really slow service, which was definitely the worst part of this meal.
Got a last minute reservation here. We have multiple allergies in the family along with my celiac. Chef came out and spoke with us to make sure we were all on the same page. I had a brisket grilled cheese which was very good. The bun was one of the best I’ve had. Nothing in the fryer is safe so we got fruit instead of fries. Everyone was happy to help and good experience.
Ate here recently, chose it as it was one of the few available for a last minute dinner reservation. We both had the “burnt ends grilled cheese” - my partner is not celiac and ate his with gluten. He does think the regular bread added to it, but I greatly enjoyed mine. The brisket made it feel a lot more filling than just a grilled cheese.
I opted to have just grapes on the side as it sounded nice. We did not ask about desserts. They have the mixed “allergy” menu, it only had one or two items listed but I was reassured that I could also have all sandwiches (except anything fried, as the fryer is contaminated - a fact which they knew and told me before I could even ask).
Overall it felt safe - waiter was immediately knowledgeable and still brought out the chef. The only thing was the chef was my least reassuring one this far… he was nice but wanted to ask me a bunch of questions about my eating dairy. Perhaps I’m looking into it too much but it made me feel like he didn’t understand it all that well, especially since I’d ordered the grilled cheese…nonetheless I felt safe, ate it all, and had no reaction.
Paid for the fantasmic dining package where we got to eat at the restaurant during the show and we were so disappointed. Not only was the allergy friendly food bad, but everyone else in my group had bad food too. Food came out so late, servers weren’t checking on us, orders came out wrong. Overall not worth the money AT ALL!! And I’m a huge Disney fan so this was really disappointing.
They have updated their allergy menu so all that is available is very dry, flavorless chicken on the kids menu. Service was slow, took a half hour after ordering to even get our food. Giving 2 stars since the non-gluten free people in my group said the food was pretty good
They need to update their allergy menu, my go to when I’m at Disneyland is the wedge salad with brisket and it’s gluten free even though it’s not listed on the menu. I was reassured by the staff who spoke with the chef that the dressing was gluten free, my Nima sensor agreed and I’ve never had an issue with it. It would be nice to see the menu say something other than BBQ tofu for gluten allergies when they can do more, I would honestly drive to the park to just eat this salad.
The only gluten free option that was totally safe was the salad. I tried to order some sandwiches without the bun for some reason they said they couldn’t do that. They do have gluten free buns so I able to get some sandwich but there is some cross contamination due to a small allergic reaction . Don’t suggest it at all. Not a good place made for gluten allergy people
Update: zero Gluten free options on 9/20
1 if you count tofu and vegetables.
Post covid things are drastically different.
The good news is that cast members are cognizant of cross contamination, and tell you. The bad news is that the menus EVERYWHERE in the parks have been reduced to 0-3 choices, and at the river Belle there is only ONE choice for lunch: the pulled pork sandwich, and no hot side dishes period. You get fresh raw veggies only. That’s it. There is a baked chicken kids only item as well, same issue, no sides.
Amazing! Wonderful Disneyland meal worth the price. Needed a reservation in advance so they already knew we were gluten free and then the chef came to talk to us. The beef brisket is super delicious. The potatoes have awesome seasoning. Also came with a variety of vegetables. Beverages came with the meal. Cute tea-house atmosphere, aside from the little kids. Watched the Fantasmic show afterward because you can get tickets with your meal.
