Went for a gluten free lunch with friends. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was delicious, fresh, and served hot/crispy - was not disappointed by the spring rolls or tempura - so good!

As a celiac, it’s so great to have a gluten free restaurant with a dedicated gluten free kitchen. Lots of selections. I have eaten here many times (and did lots of takeout as well), and have never gotten sick. The frozen food is a great option, and very easy to make at home.

My husband , my self and the whole family had gotten food poising at this restaurant on 2 sept occasions. Although the food is market gluten free and tastes good, it is simply unsafe to eat here.

This used to be my favorite place… Service is super super slow & the hanging fly paper from the ceiling is pretty gross! So sad!

We ordered with Uber eats while in Toronto. Great food, everything was labeled GF. No symptoms whatsoever. I’d love to have this restaurant close to home!

Canadian Celiac Association certified gluten free chinese food. I like the cashew fried rice, general tao chicken, citrus chicken, and the chili tofu. Pad thai isn't good but this isn't a thai place.

Separate kitchen
So many gf options. Almost everything can be made safe in their separate kitchen.
Always a positive experience. I’ve eaten here MANY times. Missing their Yonge location during covid.... the sushi is the best and this is the only location with it. Highly recommend the taro spring rolls and the pad Thai!

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Terry and staff are incredible. We had our very first Celiac Dinner here on February 28th 2020. They go over and above.
Thank-you.

Excellent food and all worry free and safe. I love coming here

I hadn't had Sushi in at least 8 months (a travesty for me) until I went here for my birthday dinner. This was the best gift I could have gotten!!! I had EVERYTHING I normally can't have like tempura, miso, dragon rolls and more! It was so tasty!! And not "tasty for GF" but actually delicious. The GF menu is the same as the non GF menu. They have a separate kitchen and the plates are labelled GF so that you can order lots of dishes without worrying you'll eat the wrong item by mistake.
I will go back over and over! So happy to find this place and have already recommended it to many people including a co-worker who brought her celiac wife here for Valentine's and made her weep tears of joy!!

Absolutely delicious!!! Totally celiac safe. They have a separate kitchen where they cook gluten free
Yes
The Riz is completely safe - no worries here. Prices are a tad higher, but I'm okay with paying for their extra attention, care, and training. As mentioned, they are certified for GF food service and even serve GF items on clearly marked plates.
You might get a food coma from The All You Can Taste experience, but not a gluten coma! Lol. There are plenty of options for soups, salads, cooked meats, sushi, dim sum, etc. If you're feeling hungry, it's a real treat. I've been in for A La Carte as well - although you get less variety, the quality is better. I'm so glad they exist and hope more Asian restaurants follow suit.

Everything is good, definitely tasty and they’re really fantastic if you have to eat gluten-free. Super nice and cautious. I’ve eaten several different things here and never had any reactions or problems from this restaurant ( Riz on Yonge). Thankful they exist.

So nice to find a restaurant with a certified gluten free menu, with a designated kitchen for gluten free...my wife was recently diagnosed and it’s nice to k ow she can come here and eat without worry

I just called them. The Yonge St. Location is not moving. (Sept 16, 2019) We are happy to drive here from Brampton for the GF selection. My husband is not GF and he likes it enough to order their GF dishes to share.

This place is great! Very aware of gluten free diet. The menu had SO many gluten free options. As a celiac, I did not get sick here so there was definitely no cross contamination. They had awards for their gluten free certified kitchen. 10/10.

This was the highlight of my most recent trip to Toronto. Our server was a funny guy, but made sure we got to try lots of stuff and didn’t ever hesitate to offer us more food. I went with a non-celiac, who ordered off the regular menu but the server put it in as GF wherever possible so that we could share. The chicken spring rolls are the BEST, so save room to eat lots of them. They also had a lot of options for GF desserts, just be aware that they are not included in the all you can taste price. I had a deep fried banana dessert with ice cream and it was excellent! If you aren’t familiar with pan Asian cuisine, maybe do your research beforehand if you want to know exactly what’s in your food, because there are no descriptions on the menu, just the names of the items.

We had a wonderful meal here. Tried 8 things between 5 of us. Favorites included the mango salad, summer rolls and green curry. My 7 year old has celiac and a peanut allergy so I was thrilled to find a place on our travels to this area that could safely accommodate both so she could try more asian options! This visit was a highlight of our trip.

One of the greatest dining experiences I've ever had. The staff was wonderful and all the GF dishes came out on preprinted plates and bowls that said GLUTEN FREE. It was wonderful! Everything we had was delicious. We chose the GF Tasting Menu and were floored at how ample the portions were. I've never been so full in my life. I got to eat things I haven't had in years like... egg rolls and chicken noodle soup. They also handled vegan for my husband like champs. I cannot recommend this place enough. (Note: I'm writing this review the morning after we ate there and I didn't have any reactions to the foods. I feel great this morning!)

Lots of gluten free options - even an all you can eat buffet!! The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. The plates were even marked Gluten Free to differentiate from non-gluten free ones.

Delicious and safe. I like the food there quite a bit. I went there twice so far and felt great after. No issues.

Staff is amazing. Especially the owner. They never fail to make you feel at home when you are there. It’s definitely on the upscale side but it’s my favourite restaurant. I go there by myself or with friends all the time. I have had celiac disease diagnosed 12 years ago and I am completely gluten free and have never had any cc issues at Riz on Yonge or Bayview. I Recommend the “riz popular crispy beef,” the name says enough.
Yes
We ate from the All you can taste menu. It was delicious! All the plates are labeled gluten free so you know that you received the GF version.

The GF “all you can taste” lunch was such a wonderful and generous gift to the GF community. They are wonderful.

Delicious, flavourful and safe food! We will be back!!

Wonderful! I gorged myself on dumplings and no symptoms afterwards. We ordered the gf tasting menu. We'll be back.
With their dedicated GF menu eating here is very easy, and they have lots of options that I have never seen gluten free before which was fun.
Yes
It's a real pity, the food is yummy. I got sick the last two times that I ate there from cross contamination.
No
As a highly gluten sensitive couple, it was so great being able to enjoy a safe meal at the Yonge street location. Since we never thought we would be able to have authentic dim sum again, it was quite a treat - the har gow and lotus pocket were standouts. In fact, we were so blown away that we had dinner there twice during our four nights in Toronto! Terry, the owner, was extremely gracious and went out of her way to make us feel safe.
