Great waitstaff. They were able to point out what was gf and also worked with the chef to make sure the steak was cooked on foil for cross contamination and used clean utensils.
This was the only place I ate in Chicago all weekend that wasn't on a Celiac list, so I was a bit nervous. But we had spent all day in the Ralph Lauren store, and I'd heard his restaurant was great. I went inside and spoke to the hostess, who immediately went and spoke to the chef about the things I was interested in. She came back with good news and a couple modifications. After we sat down the waiter was already made aware I was a Celiac and was very knowledgeable. I was thrilled the lobster bisque was gluten free, as was the salad I wanted. Precautions were taken, I did not feel a bit ill. The only thing I missed was the appealing crackers and bread I saw on the other tables. This is an extremely nice place and I found out later we were very lucky to be able to walk in without a long wait. The patio was perfect for a nice day, but the interior was like a classy polo club. I will return!
