Robataya Turukichi is a grilled seafood stall right next to the Otaru canal. All of the seafood is grilled fresh in front of you. I ordered the mackerel lunch set, and the cook said the fish was only grilled with salt. It’s worth noting that the fish is cooked on the same grill as the scallop and abalone, which both have some kind of sauce added to them. When my fish came, it tasted very fresh and it was buttery smooth.
