Rockwood Grill

Unfortunately, I got a gluten exposure. The restaurant by the pool told me everything had cross contamination by the pool so I went to the Rockwood grill and spoke to a waiter. He was knowledgeable and said I can get a burger. I asked if the fries are cross contaminated in the fryer and he said yes but he will talk to to the chef. He came back and said the chef will prepare the fries separately if I could wait 20 minutes. I waited and got a burger just meat, cheese and gluten free bun with the specially prepared fries. When he delivered the food to me I confirmed everything was gluten free. One hour later my stomach was on fire and I spend the rest of the day throwing up in pain. It was a bad gluten exposure. I think any chef can make a cross contamination mistake and we all have to take some risk but I just want everyone to know this happened and I wouldn’t take a chance here if you have an important event or are not willing to take some risk.

Only giving a 5 star rating because our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Food was very dry and overpriced.

The staff and chef seemed very knowledgeable and took extra time to discuss their safety precautions for my daughter. This is the first time I didn’t have to ask for specific safety precautions because they had an appropriate system in place. They also had more options than she has had. My daughter loved her meal (steak, mashed potatoes, and gluten free bread). I was very happy with the extra care they took. She is newly diagnosed and this was the first eating out experience that she has enjoyed. My meal (salmon) was wonderful as well!

We stayed at the JW Marriott that the restaurant is in. We had breakfast 3 times and they were very careful. I had a ham and cheese omelet, huevos rancheros(they made it in a separate dedicated area for me)and scrambled eggs. The potato products share a fryer with other things so they are not celiac safe. The gluten free toast was okay nothing to get excited over and they did offer me fruit instead of potatoes, I did not get sick. I also ate dinner there twice and there dinner menu is well marked. They have a lot of things they can make gluten free. However I was not impressed with the food.

Gluten free options listed on dinner menu. The filet and baked potato were delicious. Modified a salad to remove bread crisp that wasn’t listed as GF. Waiter seemed knowledge and service was good. Pretty sensitive to cross contamination and I felt fine after eating here

Great spot for breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros one morning and the egg white frittata on the second. Both meals came back with smiles on the Nima. :)

The gluten free lunch options were limited to two salads, which was a little disappointing. However, the salad I had was tasty!

Restaurant in the JW Marriott Hotel. Decent menu, ask the staff about ingredients and they'll help you navigate menu. Salads, burgers, pasta, steaks, chops. Nice buffet option.

We had really nice steaks and salmon. Sides of grilled asparagus, mushrooms were gf and dairy free. They had pizza/pasta for kids too.
