I was disappointed. First the ambiance is nothing noteworthy. We ordered the baked Brie with GF crustini and while I was impressed they had a GF option it was not good. I then preferred the bolognese with GF pasta and it was not flavorful at all. So while I am so pleased with the gluten free available at an Italian restaurant, the flavors were just not there. My husband had the swordfish and he said it was “ok.” And the flourless chocolate cake I wanted to try is no longer on the menu. We will likely not be back, especially for the price we were u impressed.
I came here hoping for a good experience based on past reviews. I was not disappointed! This place is amazing! The pasta was wonderful and the bread…oh the bread! So yummy and fluffy! My non GF family ate it as well and they thought it was great! I had some little piece left and they gave me a box to take it home. The wait staff was well informed and so helpful. Norm was so nice! We will be going back for sure! I had the bolognese and bread. I think I will try a pizza next time.
I have a mild gluten intolerance. Cross contamination rarely bothers me. I chose this foodie destination for my birthday dinner because of all the gluten free options. They didn't disappoint. Our waiter was also gluten free and pointed me towards just exactly what I was looking for the Bolognese pasta. Made with gluten free fettuccine noodles, lots of meat, and an incredible red sauce it was unforgettable! We had a party of 4 and ordered the Baked Brie & Fig appetizer. She put it on gluten free bread and gave us another plate of regular bread as well. The service was excellent. The short rib my mother ordered was so soft we cut it with a fork and shared it. Dessert also didn't disappoint. The Creme Brule was quite good. I will be back to try the pizza and other menu items!
My husband and I decided to give Rodi a try since it was a newer restaurant near us and has gotten some good reviews on their gf menu items. I had the beet, arugula & goat cheese salad as my first course and the porcini mushroom risotto as my main course, which is listed as gluten free on their menu. We mentioned needing to order gf items to the hostess when she seated us & she said “no problem”, that she also was gf and called out the numerous gf menu items. After finishing our meals, I felt the familiar gluten sickness almost immediately. It could be that they’re cooking risotto in the same pan as regular pasta, or there are some hidden ingredients that contain gluten. Could also be mixing salads in the same bowl as Cesar salads with croutons. In any case there is some extreme cross contamination & I would not risk it. Delicious food but worst case of glutening for me in a very long time.
I’ve been there twice. I tried the gluten-free pasta and the pizza. They were both really really good! The pizza leftover didn’t really heat up well, the dough got a little tough. But it was amazing fresh out of the pizza oven 😋😋
