New pizza place in Five Points with homemade (!!) gluten free pizza dough ($5 upcharge). The owner has family with celiac and is aware of gluten issues and separately takes great pride in his menu and tinkered for months with a recipe for GF dough that he’s happy with and wow that’s apparent in the *appearance* and taste of the pizza. He’s working on GF dough for calzones and Panuozzo. Pizzas: marinara, margharita, Blanca, mystic mushroom, nutty mortadella. Hopefully soon (owner working on the dough)- Panuozzos (pistachio whisperer and sweet love); and Classic calzone. Pizza crust looks and tastes the closest to GF pizza in Italy we’ve seen. No cauliflower crust here! One pizza oven. Cleaned area before prepping GF pizza. Cleaned oven before cooking GF pizza. Meticulous owner. GF Salads. Nice outdoor seating area. Has a big enough bar in the back. Worth the upcharge. Will be back.
