Review of Rose's On Reeds Lake

Decent gluten free menu. The atmosphere is always a little crowded but the views are worth it and this is an older restaurant that oozes charm. There is usually a wait but you can always grab a drink while you wait. It is worth the wait for a beautiful lake view.

The service is friendly and attentive. Our waitress was new and not completely up to speed on the gf menu items. Even though the root chips were listed as gluten free the server stated she wasn’t sure on the aioli or fondue and wanted to double check with the kitchen. For some reason my family took that as “ we should help mom eat these chips” and had pretty much devoured them by the time she returned and stated they were indeed gluten free. The root chips were fabulous and pair nicely with a dry white wine. Roses is always a good dining experience and I appreciated the servers kind vigilance. I guess the moral of the story is don’t dine out with perpetually starving and opportunistic teenagers.
