*Cheese dip contains gluten* I was very disappointed because most Mexican restaurants’ cheese dips are gluten free. Rosie’s manager said the cheese dip and salsa are both not gluten free. They do have a rice that is safe, but overall this place is not very gluten-friendly while maintaining taste.
Told the waitress I had celiacs so she got the manager Alex. He was great and explained everything in detail. Salsa and cheese dip uses peppers fried in same oil with gluten. Also the chips are contaminated. He ordered me some baked chips instead and provided me with corn tortilla options. Great customer service.
Update to add**
One manager was very rude when asked if a seasoning blend might contain gluten. He referenced I was not previously warned of salsa containing gluten (by him) because it “is just cross contamination, it doesn’t have gluten in it” and then told me if he had something this serious, he wouldn’t chance and why should I. Server and other managers including GM were very nice about the whole thing and wanted people with Celiac to feel safe eating there.
Some employees are knowledgeable of what all has gluten.
Previously a manager said salsa was safe. Another manager said salsa contains peppers that have been fried (same as cheese dip).
The place was great the manager came out and they were incredibly knowledgeable about my allergy.10/10 would come again
We asked for gluten free, so the waitress brought us baked chips with guacamole and made sure we had corn tortillas with our fajitas.
The baked chips weren’t as good as regular tortilla chips. Everything else was good.
Every time I let my waiter know about my needs they send a manager to discuss my options/ensure safety. Although they don’t have a dedicated space/menu they are always more than willing to cook my food separately on a freshly cleaned space.
I always get chicken tacos (separately cook the chicken) with plain (uncooked/friend) corn tortillas with pico, cheese and sour cream. I am always very satisfied! They will also bake corn tortillas chips for you so you can eat salsa!
Food was good and the waiter was very kind and accommodating if a little less knowledgeable than I needed. I had a bean burrito on a corn tortilla but the rice made me very very sick. The rest of the food was wonderful though and the waiter was very apologetic and made sure to make a note for future reference.
I always ask for corn tortillas for everything. The food has more of an American flavor to it but I love it. I am extremely sensitive to gluten and I have never became sick from there food
