Ruby Tuesday has gluten free options including gluten free buns for their burgers and sandwiches.
I went to this restaurant back in April and ha a wonderful experience so I was completely shocked with how horribly I was treated the second time I went. Apparently they think it's a great idea to have their food allergy patrons use their own phones and phone plans to download their menu. It took me thirty minutes to pull up the menu alone to then be told by our server, "Oh we could have given you an iPad with the menu all loaded up already." Why oh why would you do such a thing. My night just got worse from there. I calmed down and ordered a burger with a gluten free bun. I ate about half of the burger when I bit in and almost chipped a tooth. The roll was completely stale on one side and completely inedible. I complained to their corporate office and all I got back some generic message about making sure to tell your server about your allergy.
Servers were very knowledgable and nice. They have a menu for any kind of allergy. The ribs and GF sides were very good.
The food was very good, but the burgers were not cooked to order. The service was friendly, but the kitchen messed up my groups order twice. They gave me French fries, which I cannot have, instead of the mashed potatoes I asked for. There is a menu for ALL food allergies.
I asked to see their GF menu and they only had one copy so I had to wait 15 minutes while the other patron used it. Really? One copy? It's just a sheet of printer paper folks. Menu is limited and wait staff knowledge varies.
as a vegan with a gluten allergy, ruby Tuesday does have one dish that is quite good. the spagetti squash marinara was the only thing on menu I could eat but it was enjoyable. I gave 3 stars because waiter could have been more sensitive when he waved the cheddar biscuits under my gluten free nose. as gluten allergies become more understood, I hope they add more items to menu and possibly a dessert.
Very careful, excellent gluten free pasta. A fabulous salad bar. Some dressings might not be gf, ask for gf menu.
Allergy friendly, yes!!! However, they fry with soy oil!!! He had a burger with great gf bread, but no fries or chips. Cost $120 for the 4 of us to have lunch!!! Extremely overpriced and very sad about the soy oil. Management did come to our table to verify allergies and was extremely helpful.
Good gluten free buns and can have baked potatoes
Wow!! What a great experience. I asked to speak to the manager and Laura was amazing. She assured me, once I identified that I was a very sensitive celiac, that the food was prepared in a separate area. I had a great meal and found the staff knowledgeable and very helpful. In fact the General Manager stopped by our table to check on my experience.
It's been a while since I ate at the Lakeland location. They brought my hamburger on a nice fluffy gluten bun. I had to compare it to my son's order to find out it was the wrong bun! When I asked the waitress if this was a GF bun, she said: I don't know.... yeah, it probably is. She was a real brat about it. My daughter got the manager who brought out a new order. I haven't been back. I have gone to other locations and they have been very good.
Very celiac friendly. When I told the server I must have gluten-free because of allergy, she said "Are you celiac?' She explained the care taken in the kitchen and I am impressed. This was our first time at a Ruby Tuesday and the food was good quality and well-prepared, not what we expected from a national chain restaurant. We definitely plan to dine at more Ruby Tuesdays.
Daughter has CD, we were given a GF menu for her. She ordered the grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The manager came and spoke with us to explain how they keep everything separated in the kitchen. She enjoyed her meal and did not get sick afterwards. We have ordered the identical meal two more times to go, and it has been great! Finally, a place the whole family can find something to eat!
Can I give no stars? I had a business trip and called a day ahead to make sure they were knowledgeable, and they sounded sure. I go to get my order to go and the cook actually asked me what gluten is.. he asked if gluten was a cheese or if it was in bacon. I turned around and walked out. Furious.
This is my go-to place. I have been to this location and several others (Bedford, VA and other states) and I have always had excellent service, very caring servers, and have never gotten sick. (I am very sensitive.) They go to a lot of care to prepare your meal safely. They have a list of gluten free items in a notebook and it is online as well.
They have an easy-to-use website that walks you through all the gluten-free menu items (and other allergens as well). They also have gluten-free pastas and hamburger buns. Our server was wonderful. I had the Fresco Chicken with asparagus & broccoli for the sides, and it was all delicious!
They have a gluten free menu but you have to look it up online they do not have it in the restaurant. They put fries on my sons plate which are not gluten free so we had to send it back. Other than that the food was good and my son had no reaction.
GF menu was good before, but they now also offer GF pasta and buns, pasta was good
Waitress was very accommodating when we asked for the gluten free menu & had a lot of knowledge about it. Quite a few dishes to choose from on the menu, but not a huge selection. I had steak, mashed potatoes and green beans and my husband had a burger on the GF bun and a baked potato, both tasted delicious! Will definitely go again
Salad bar was why I would go there. Now the salad bar has changed and it's not very good. I would not say they are celiac friendly.
I ordered a steak with shrimp skewers and sides of broccoli and zucchini. The food was delicious and I felt really safe when the waiter assured me that they take food allergies very seriously, cleaning surfaces and using fresh tongs, etc. to handle the food. I didn't feel the need to explain at length because he immediately "got it" when I said Celiacs.
Worst meal ever made me so sick after I was doubled over in pain crying from the "gluten free" meal....
