Staff was extremely kind and accommodating to our celiac needs. Careful with fried options, though. Didn’t seem to have a dedicated fryer. However, waiter and hostess were very helpful. Would have given it a fifth star if I knew it had a dedicated fryer and a dedicated prep area. Still good. Had a cheeseburger on a gluten-free roll and salad.
Fantastic options! My daughter and I each got the tilapia and I had a salad from the salad bar. Our tummies are happy! The manager even went out of his way to check on us and make sure everything was good. I will definitely come back!
Our server did not find a gluten-free menu for us. We were having trouble with the online menu so we asked for a gluten-free Burger, and if fries or tater tots were gluten-free then please add those. She didn't verify anything with the kitchen and put in the order. We found online that the fries were not gluten free so to be safe we changed to side salad... she brought it out with croutons. She made no attempts to understand what we needed. She made no communication with the kitchen. And we felt like she was curt with all of our questions. 😳 She was a good server for filling drinks and clearing plates, but she wasnt accommodating to dietary questions or clarifying with the kitchen staff.
Servers and bartender did a great job of making sure my food was not only gluten free, and dairy free, but also seasoning free. They did an excellent job of checking with kitchen and manger to make sure it was done correctly. Manager even came by to double-check!
Restaurant does not have a gf menu per se but rather a binder with gf options listed. A bit confusing to go through. Wait staff are not educated and manager seemed clueless when I asked to double check whether an item listed on the gf menu is in fact gf. He actually told server that it's not. Very disappointed.
First off, I was very impressed with the restaurants allergen menu. It is very user friendly and has the option of choosing more than one allergy restriction. I had the Hickory Bourbon Salmon with asparagus. It was delicious however it was pricey at $21 excluding a drink other than water. Hubby complained that his grilled chicken tasted like fish. So, if you eat here you must like the taste of seafood. This is a definitely an option especially if you are traveling and want more than fast food.
The restaurant could not actually give me a Gluten Free menu so I had to find it online. Limited options. The food was okay but I went to a Ruby Tuesday in Hernando County and it was awesome. The service was fine and the food came out in a reasonable time. Prices are good.
As of today, no longer have gluten free bun option.
I was very impressed with the extensive gluten free menu binder. It made me feel safer about ordering. The waitress was very knowledgeable about allergies and gluten. They took all precautions to provide me safe food.
Staff was knowledgeable. They gave me a binder with all the allergen free items. Lots of gluten free items! I got the Hickory Bourbon chicken with a sweet potato and coleslaw. It was really good and I felt great after eating here.
Staff went to kitchen and made sure items were gluten free. Understanding there is always a risk of cross contamination it gives relief to have a staff member make the effort to double check. It shows me as the consumer that it is taken seriously. Be sure to ask questions about how the meal is prepared and if you aren’t comfortable with the answer do not eat at the restaurant. 5 stars because of the staff member’s efforts.
I went this past Wednesday and ordered the salad bar plus a side piece of grilled chicken. Well fast forward to 2 days later and I’m still sick. I’m guessing the chicken, although very good had some sort of seasoning or a dusting of flour on it. Even though you stress that you’re extremely allergic there’s never a guarantee.
Not safe for Celiacs. Already a bad sign when the menu wasn't marked & the 4 of us had to huddle around a binder. Daughter got a burger on a GF bun, and has been on the toilet ever since. A non-Celiac at our table had a regular bun & it definitely had been grilled, so we're suspecting cross-contamination, perhaps the burgers & buns grilled in the same area. The waitress also told us the fries were safe, but they weren't in the binder so we didn't order them. I asked if they have a dedicated fryer & she said no.
I would rate this zero stars if I could. No, scratch that, -5 stars. If you are sensitive to gluten in any way, Do. Not. Go. Here. The food isn't even that good to start with, and I got glutened really bad. They aren't very knowledgeable, and the menu isn't marked, they just had a binder (usually a big red flag).
I had a Top Sirloin Steak with a baked potato and the salad bar without any reaction. On a separate occasion I had the Hickory Bourbon Chicken with the salad bar. Very good food. Separate GF menu in the restaurant and online.
Great gluten free menu online! I went on two separate occasions and I had no problems. The primavera pasta was one of the best I’ve had. They also have gluten free buns with their burgers. The fries share a frier but I did not get sick after eating them. Overall great place to go if you have to be GF
Ordered the smokehouse burger with gluten free bun and a side of broccoli instead of fries. My burger came to the table with onion rings on it (definitely NOT safe!). Had to send it back to be remade. They were thorough with making sure it was made correctly, but I didn’t get to eat until the rest of my table was already finished with their meals. Also, there are no safe gf desserts so I was left out of that course. Probably won’t come back here.
I ordered a chicken dish off their gluten free list and told them that I have celiac and must eat gluten free. I ordered over the phone and spoke directly with the manager. When I got home, the chicken had what I thought was cheese on it and was surprised because I didn’t remember the dish having cheese. Well, it wasn’t cheese, it was a sauce that contains gluten!!!!! Unfortunately, I had already eaten some of it before figuring it out. When I called the manager back he assured me that there system for protecting allergens is excellent, and then confirmed that the sauce they put on my chicken was glutenous! But maybe there won’t be too much wheat in it! Further evidence of their ‘excellent’ system; my side salad had croutons on it! That, at least, was obvious. DO NOT TRUST THEM. I AM FACING A MISERABLE DAY AHEAD.
Manager didn’t know anything about the allergy menu. Made us look up their allergy menu on our phones instead of telling us about what food they serve. They do have gluten free options and are great at most locations just not this one. Gluten free pasta and gluten free buns. My friend came with me and she had a egg and dairy allergy (anaphylactic reaction) and after many times telling them they still cooked food in butter and had to send it back. If you have Celiac disease or severe allergies I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
This was one of my go to restaurants. Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free & celiac. Sad to see this location has closed.
I mentioned my Celiac to my waitress with my order (we perused the GF options online before going), and the manager came out, asked about my needs, and personally assured me that everything would be prepped on separate equipment/utensils. Great experience. And lots of yummy options.
Our waitress was not very knowledgeable And had to ask others. The gluten free menu I was given was completely different than the online one. It seemed like they only had the more expensive items on the printed menus. So FYI they actually have more gluten free foods that are cheaper, and they have gluten free buns for the burgers too.
Oh dear. This was not a great experience. From a broken chair, to a dirty gf menu and a cold semi-congealed meal this was poor, poor, poor. Two stars because I wasn’t glutened but apart from that... Oh and am I the only one who gets annoyed when I ONLY get an allergy menu without a proper one to cross reference for meal description and prices?
I have several allergies. Their website allows you to put in your allergies & it will give you suggestions of what you can eat & how to order any modifications. The staff immediately asked what my allergies were & told me they've been trained & have a whole process to avoid cross contamination. I was so pleased to have a variety of choices, too! I would definitely recommend!
