Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating when I visit. Never had a problem.
I know the restaurant takes precautions in changing gloves and alerting staff of allergies. I have HIGHLY sensitive to cross contamination, eat here a couple of times a month, and have never had issues!

The gluten free food is only slight modifications to the non-gluten-free menu. There are a lot of options and good sized portions. I would say there is a salad bar, but due to the nature of that type of food I would not recommend choosing that as your side.

They claim to have gluten free pasta but my celiac child was vomiting by the time we got to the parking lot!

They are great catering to customers with special dietary needs including food allergies and celiac. They clean grill and use different utensils when I mentioned my food allergies. My meal was a simple, requested plain, no seasoning grill chicken, broccoli and baked potato. I’m very sensitive and having several food allergies including gluten, I react to a lot of things. No dedicated special fryer so can’t have anything fried. Their salad bar looked great with lots of variety. I’m very impress with Ruby Tuesday and would definitely eat there more often. I always ask to speak with manger to take that extra precaution.
First time being here. I had the salad bar, hickory bourben chicken with white rice. I'm not one for salads but it was delicious!!!!!!!! The chicken was good (not seasoning, just the sauce). I really wanted a burger but the server said that the burgers aren't gluten free but they offer a gluten free bun. It was an odd conversation. I'm incredibly sensitive to even the slightest ounce of gluten and had no reaction. Would definitely go back just for the salad bar! Update: 2-28-20 had the top sirloin steak with a baked potato and the salad bar. Absolutely delicious. Frank our waiter was phenomenal!!!!! He made sure the steak was cooked on foil to prevent cross contamination he advised the kitchen and the manager about my celiac. I am VERY pleased.
The gluten free menu is pretty limited, which is okay...when the kitchen staff actually pays attention to the special instructions. Which they didn't- my side salad came with croutons. And since I ordered through Doordash, the manager couldn't refund, but didn't even offer a replacement. Cannot recommend, sadly.
At first, lot of doubts.. hostess and first server didn't know a thing about gluten...she ask and finaly got me a book with all the allergy informations. There was a section about gluten. I ask for glove change and insist on the fact that I was celiac. I took the hickory bourbon chicken breast with white rice and brocolis. Was pretty spicy but very good.
I have a gluten, dairy, egg and tree but allergy. Ordered chicken and it came covered in cheese. Was too scared to get chicken again, (maybe they would’ve just scraped it off?) so I ordered plain burger with steamed zucchini. Was extremely sick, almost went to ER. I don’t think they paid any attention to what I said. The cheese covered chicken should have been my first clue!
The new staff at the Canfield location do NOT have a handle on gluten free. This place used to hand you a gluten free menu. Now you have to go on line at your table to find GF options. Waitress wasn’t sure if GF options I ordered in past we’re still GF. She called manager and he said he would talk to chef because he wasn’t sure. We left realizing they were not knowledgeable at all. Shame. Used to be my regular GF place.
We were travelling and stopped at this Ruby Tuesday based on the reviews here. However, when I asked for the GF menu, was told "nothing is gluten free; it's all made in the same kitchen." I ended up ordering a cesear salad (no croutons) and wasn't impressed.
I’ve eaten here twice and gotten sick both times. The first time I ordered the salad bar and soup, which was marked gf. This time I played it “safe” and ordered the salad bar. Clearly, there is something on the salad bar that is cross contaminated or not correctly labeled. Bacon? Balsamic vinegar? Amazingly, I got gluten sick from the salad bar.
I ordered an avocado chicken sandwich on GF bun. Service and ordering great, but the chicken tasted like rubber. Some frozen reheated mess probably; Disgusting. I picked it off and ate the rest. The tater tots were good tho!
I ordered the Cajun Seafood it said to get it without the Parmesan Sauce on the menu I found. The official gf menu was “this operation cannot be completed” on the site. Nogluten.com had a copy of it. We ordered it to go and should have double checked the order before we left. They included the sauce on the side. I decided to eat the fish. My loaded baked potato arrived as just a plain baked potato no salt/pepper/butter... What I am eating is good. They were open until 10 pm. I called bill to let them know, spoke with the manager. There was no offer to make it right. The manager also thought the sauce was safe.. I don’t know which is correct but I did not take the chance.
Staff is not knowledgeable at all. Ordered a hamburger with a GF bun. Realized after taking a few bites it was a regular bun. Sick all night and next day. The manager did however say he was sorry and that was it. Will never go back there again!!!!
They no longer have gluten free pasta. Only buns. There are still options for celiacs but seems like they are moving in the wrong direction here. Their staff isn’t trained in gluten allergies, I had to explain it. Overall not the highest quality place anyway.
GF menu is online only, staff seems unsure about gluten in their foods and getting answers takes time. Hubby is very gluten sensitive, so we have to exercise extreme caution when dining here.
Had an amazing experience here! Got a delicious salad, soup and chicken with steamed broccoli after a long day at LEGO Land. Lavinia our server was so sweet and took such great care of me. Definitely recommend!
My daughter has Extreme gluten sensitivity. She ordered a hamburger on a gluten free bun. The chef mixed up her order with mine, I got the gluten free bun and she did not! Luckily we noticed before she ate it! The salad bar also made her sick, we stuck to GF only foods but it was easily cross contaminated.
Take out ordered via phone. The order taker was pleasant, patient, and consulted the allergen list to clarify any questions. We were unable to use the online allergen list that looked like it would only give us items that matched our requirements due to error. That would be an amazing feature for all restaurants. Sirloin steak was ok, cooked correctly, very bland seasoning. Broccoli was weird tasting. Chocolate milk shake very good. Baked potato nice and salty! This location is in an allergen friendly desert so you eat where you can when staying here. With that in mind I give it a 4 stars if broccoli wasn’t tainted in taste with something I can’t identify. No negative results from gluten contamination.
Staff were super accommodating and helpful with navigating the allergen menu on my phone. They let the kitchen staff know to take extra precaution. Thank you for a wonderful, safe meal out!
The on-line allergen menu is fantastic. The paper one we were given was incomplete. Waitress was absolutely clueless. She said we could order any burger or sandwich and just get a GF bun. We asked her to check with kitchen and we used on-line menu. Then she said they just won’t use margarine on roll. She said fries were fine. They were not ok on the on-line menu. Grilled chicken burger was dry both meat and roll. But really appreciate their online menu!!
Very happy with this place. Waitress was very knowledgeable and very helpful. They do have a separate menu but I found it easier to ask the waitress. I ordered a burger with the gluten free bun. The waitress even had the cook grill the burger on a piece of tinfoil to help prevent cross contamination. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
They DO have a gluten free menu and even a bun, however, they have gone completely electronic. You have to use your own phone to get online (in the middle of the mountains) to view their gluten free menu. The servers are trained to use their own phones and bring up the menu for you (the site makes you use the location of the restaurant before you can view the menu on the phone...and who knows the zip code when you are just passing through? My sister couldn’t get the site to load on her phone at all). The problem with that scenario is we happened to have the only server who doesn’t carry a smart phone. He was smart (and kind) enough to go get his manager, who ultimately took our orders for us and helped him deliver our food. The food was good. The experience was frustrating (although not near as bad as Paula Dean), so I’m not sure if I can say the restaurant chain itself has make recent customer friendly decisions. The staff (manager mainly) was friendly and understanding (I did offer that we could leave without ordering when the waiter himself couldn’t help us...and that wasn’t a threat but more of an offer as he couldn’t help us)
I was a bit worried when I arrived, as the server pointed me to an on line menu when I inquired about GF options. Ordered burger on GF bun with side of coleslaw. Burger was good; bun was average. No negative effects.
They have a gluten free menu and when I ordered my meal they asked if I was celiac. I told them yes. They brought my meal to the table and told me that the chef cleaned an area on the grill to prepare my food. Great service.
I asked for a GF bun at least 3x and I was still served a gluten bun. I questioned the server and she took my plate and brought it back and told me 2 cooks confirmed that it was GF. I asked for the manager who then said it was not a GF bun. I left!
