The best gluten free bakery in the area! They also have some dairy free, sugar free, and vegan items. The staff is very knowledgeable, and the cake decorator is very talented. Wednesday - Saturday they offer hot sandwiches, and they even have donuts on Saturdays.
Black & white cookie, cream filled cupcake, peanut butter brownie & pizza roll. What can I say, a super nice surprise for our daughter who has celiac. Wish we lived closer to support this business. If you are coming for the soft pretzels (#1 on our list), come early! We missed out and our daughter hasn’t had one in 5-years!
Love supporting local so when I found this place I was really hoping it was good. Have tried several things and all of them are delicious. You wouldn’t even know they are gluten-free if you didn’t know where they came from. Can’t wait to try more!
Was reluctant to try another GF bread because someone said it was great, and it wasn't. Their challah bread is the consistency of French or Italian bread. No more slicing and toasting GF bread to make it taste good. This really is the best I've had in 14 years. (Westborn in Royal Oak carried this.) Finally had a decorated birthday cake (chocolate bumpy cake), for my husband, that I could eat and enjoy. (Wish they listed or pictured all their items on their web...didn't know they had pirogi, pizza, until I read someone else's review.)
We have been coming here for a couple of years and not sure why we didn't post a review. We love this place! ❤️ they have so much more that just sweets. Bread, pierogi's, pizza...their bread and coffee cake are fabulous. Try their donuts and/or pita bread. WOW!
If you don’t know about Rumi’s it is the only place you DO need to know for all things Bakery/bread. They have gluten and dairy free selections beyond your wildest dreams. They ha ve more than just cookies and muffins and cakes they have donuts and pies and their cake decorator has made ridiculously awesome cakes for us. Pictured is a cake that looks like a Thanksgiving Turkey! We’ve had cakes shaped like minions and BB8 and R2D2 (not flat sheet cakes) that are also gluten and dairy free. I’d give this place more stars if I could - we’ve been coming here for YEARS.
Wow! a GF bakery in Plymouth! Michigan has changed a lot since I was last here. This store has an enormous selection for celiacs, and a small selection of vegan options. We were able to get focaccia rolls, chocolate muffins (which were really just unfrosted cupcakes), a Rosemary olive bread loaf, and soft pretzel sticks. The pretzel sticks and focaccia rolls were to die for! Haven't tried the loaf yet, but I appreciate that they pulled it from the freezer for us when we were telling them we were only passing through while traveling, and couldn't come back for fresh vegan bread days. Really nice people and really affordable. There's a few packaged items for sale, plus self-serve coffee. Their flour blend is white rice and tapioca, so be warned if you're rice-sensitive or concerned about carbs and blood sugar. I haven't had a soft pretzel in years, and this was well worth it. (If you take them home, microwave them for a few seconds and dip them in mustard for that NYC street pretzel experience!)
I bought a cake for my husband's birthday nobody realized it was gluten and dairy free and were shocked when I started to eat it because they thought it was a normal cake. I love getting delicious sweets, baked goods, and even pasta here to use at home!
A good selection of fresh baked goods, including muffins, cookies, cupcakes and breads. They had one freezer with frozen items and one fridge filled with cakes. Also offered a small selection of GF items like pasta, pretzels, and crackers. It was a tiny place with a constant rotation of customers. Staff was very friendly. The building was so indiscreet we actually drove right by it on our first visit!
I am from out of town and was traveling through. I decided to try this place for lunch. The sandwich was delicious. I ate half and then went inside and bought a loaf of bread to go!! Many options for things to take and go. I plan to freeze some! They said they have an option for shipping as well!
I feel in love with this little gem! Don't let the size of the place fool you! I felt like a kid in a candy shop! Everything is made fresh without preservatives! So you'll either need to eat it right away or freeze it! The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable! Everything is Gluten Free, Dairy Free,Soy Free, & Corn Free. They do have eggs in their products! They have pies, cakes, cookies, brownies, hot dog, hamburger buns, & sub buns ,white bread, challah bread, several different types of fresh bread, Baguettes on Friday & Saturday, Focaccia. My husband doesn't even have food allergies & loved their pumpkin squares & Ruben Sandwich on Rye Bread!
