Excellent service and delicious, safely prepared food!Everything from the hostess, who gave me a GF menu, to our server Lohan, who ensured my cocktail and meal were 100% safe, to the lovely outside dining, and prompt preparation! Highly recommend for someone with multiple life threatening foid allergies.
This place was a little disappointing. Items on the gf menu were actually not gf, such as the fries, because they share oil with other fried foods. They made a note about the chips not being safe, but not the fries. I asked and they confirmed the fries were not safe. They should and can do better. Gluten free bun was not good.
This used to be my fave restaurant pre hashimotos diagnosis, and I can confidently say that despite my restrictions (no gluten or dairy) I was pleasantly surprised at the options. The Saco’s tacos were delicious and the staff was so incredibly accommodating, making sure to check if things were okay. They have a separate GF menu, and it had a lot of options on it! Not sure how celiac safe it is though. I will definitely be back
I had a Reuben on a gf bun with the vegetable of the day on the side (broccoli). The separate gf menu says they do not have a dedicated fryer so I ordered the vegetable which was not over cooked and was a generous portion. The gf roll was very good and was packed with corned beef, nice amount but not too much sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. The waiter served us fast and checked on us several times to be sure everything was satisfactory.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. They do have a GF free menu, just ask for it. They understand celiac and are very accommodating. I had the baked haddock with mashed potatoes and broccoli and it was delicious. They grilled the chicken wings for us as well.
Separate gluten free menu with a variety of offerings including things for kids like hotdogs and cheeseburgers. French fries are in a shared frier. No dedicated frier. We had zero reactions though. Ciders available at the bar for gluten free options. Growlers of local beers for the non-gluten free people. Great outdoor atmosphere, slow service due to lack of staffing which we were warned about but decent food.
It was great. We are visiting from out of state/town & I rely heavily on this app to at least find an option for us. Our 4 year has celiac and is super sensitive to even the smallest amount of cross contamination. I asked if they had a GF menu, they did. No dedicated fryer. Our server was knowledgeable and didn’t act like we were a burden which is super nice. All employees were extremely polite. My daughter got a cheeseburger on a GF bun and mashed potatoes and had no issues or reactions. It was a great atmosphere.
I don’t know why previous reviewer said there are no gluten free options or menu. I had to ask for it but they do have a separate one. Perhaps they left a review for the wrong place.
I enjoyed my experience! I could tell my waited was knowledgeable. She told me there is a GF menu but basically anything on the menu can be made GF. If the food is typically fried, they will bake it (I got baked chicken wings). The french fries are in a dedicated frier with only french fries so I had those. I got a sandwich and they used an Udi’s bun, which I’m not super fond of, but it was a decent sandwich. Overall food wasn’t the best but decent for the price and plenty of options.
They have a separate gluten free menu you can ask for. They have a different menu for inside and outside seating. Took our Celiac daughter here for lunch hoping to try the gluten free pizza. Turns out it is only available after 4:00pm outside. She ended up getting a burger on a gf bun that she liked. No dedicated fryer.
Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. GF pizza is fantastic!
Excellent restaurant. Waitstaff is hit or miss. My allergies are worse than most (beyond just gluten) and I try to be gracious and friendly, but have had one or two experiences here with unfriendly servers overwhelmed by my questions.
Ate here for years before getting my diagnosis, and it's really a great establishment. Food and menu is A+.
Offers good selection of gluten free sandwiches, salads, and a few gluten free entrees such as steak, sea food alfredo over rice noodles, salmon, etc. Serves JK's Scrumpy Hard Cider. Service is relaxed, food is delicious. I am very sensitive to any cross contamination; no issues when eating here. Unique setting in a renovated old brick mill. Only drawback - no gluten free desserts.
