Had High Tea at the Rundle Bar today, and it was delightful. I had my own celiac tower with all of the treats, made safely for me. They were comparable to the regular treats on the non-GF plates. The GF scones were unreal, as well as many of the other treats. Highly recommended to treat yourself!

There were a decent amount of options, however, most was fish. I ended up getting the chicken wings. They were delicious, however, it is a small portion.

This is mostly just a bar with a limited menu. Word on the street is there is a speakeasy style room through the bookcase (we didn’t try). The staff here seemed to be less knowledgeable on celiac/GF than other restaurants in the hotel. I didn’t eat anything beyond some bar snacks (GF seasoned popcorn and veggie chips) but the drinks are good and views are amazing if you can get a table closer to the windows.

The Fairmont generally is really good at accommodating celiac disease. They have a couple of good options for gf on their lunch menu but the lounge is really more for drinks than for eating so the menu is pretty small. I had the poke bowl and it was really good! They are super knowledgeable about cross contamination

Beautiful but very little options, at least when we went. I guess we missed the lunch menu and the regular bar menu didn’t have too much that I felt safe eating. Waitress tried answering my questions but didn’t seem confident. I was so hungry so I just ate a bunch of chips and guac which seemed the safest.

High tea at the Rundle bar in the fairmont has been the best dining experience I have had since my celiac diagnosis. We emailed a few weeks in advance asking if they would be able to accommodate me as the tea is a fixed menu, they said it wouldn’t be a problem and made us a reservation. We checked in a few days before and they said the chef had seen the note and was already working on a menu. I was served slightly different versions of everything on the menu (replacing a few items with something different completely) and the food was amazing. Even the gluten free scones were better then any regular scone I’ve ever eaten. Would highly recommend
