Russell's Barbecue

I've been going to Russell's since I was a little girl, so almost 40+ years. Since my gluten sensitivity was discovered 8 years ago, I have not gone. I recently found put that they have gf buns and I could have a bbq beef sandwich! I will admit, I almost shed a tear of nostalgia of being able to sit in the old booth and enjoy a sandwich again. I now go to the Countryside location because it's closer to my house. I've never had issues at either restaurant.

— Not Much

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Excellent

Been here prior to celiac. Fries in separate fryer. Any BBQ can have. But things like ham sandwich they fry it on same area where regular buns are so limited there.

This place is really trying and has many naturally GF items: the bbq sauce, meats & separate fryer for fries. Some staff seem knowledgable about GF. However, we ordered GF & plate came with a regular bun on the plate. Please stress GF when ordering.
