I have a few autoimmune disorders and have 30 different food allergies and sensitivities. My EMS partner and I (who also has allergies) went to Sabai while in Richmond for a long distance transport. The staff here were very knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating to our needs, and last but not least the food was absolutely amazing! Definitely worth going to Richmond for the experience!

Food was good. Ordered pad thai to be safe side and they followed directions well. (Ordered with no nuts)

The staff was knowledgeable about celiac, but when I ordered tofu, they failed to realize it was fried in a gluten-containing fryer and served it to me. I was quick to realize, and they redid the dish immediately, but I was disappointed that they made the mistake in the first place. Great food and drinks though! (Also the server did not seem to know which dishes had soy sauce in them— Also a problem)

Dishes were too sweet and non-alcoholic drink selection limited. More of a bar than a restaurant it seems.

I love the atmosphere at Sabai; it's so Richmond culture! The food is very good, with lots of GF options. It's not labeled but they have a GF menu. Portion sizes are large and prices are as expected.

Absolutely incredible Thai food! Almost all of the dishes are gluten free or can be made gluten free. The wait staff always knows what they are talking about and definitely takes allergies seriously. They have incredibly fancy mixed drinks and also always have at least one cider.

GFree menu. Food is great and the drinks are very good but... Waiting for Drinks is like watching the next ice age approach... Was painful waiting for my Painkiller... doubt I'll come here very often.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Many dishes made gluten free. We went with someone who also had a garlic allergy and the waitress was so knowledgeable about all the ingredients in the food she didn't have to check with anyone and was quick to answer.
