Super knowledgeable staff. No gf menu though. All meat is okay, some fish. Tacos can be wrapped in a jicama “tortilla”. Great experience and great wine selection.

The manager was very knowledgeable and spent a good deal of time with me explaining the menu and gluten free options. Staff was made aware of my gluten allergy and food was prepared separately. Jicama tacos very good and gluten free. Definitely would return to this restaurant and would recommend it for people who have a gluten allergy.

Last year, I would have given Sabor 5 stars, but now there is too much cross-contamination for me to order corn tortillas. The Valencia location now makes all the flour tortillas for both locations, using the entire surface that they would use to heat any corn tortillas you might order. The chips and rice have always been "gluten-y." This just leaves (only seasonal) squash or jicama "tortillas" for tacos, or as I did, their always delicious tortilla ingredients mixed on a plate. (If you are a steak eater, those choices were recommended at first.) As always, the skinny margueritas use GF tequila and house-made citrus juice with Grand Marnier. The jidoro chicken is tender and tasty, and the whole beans, tri-color peppers, and onions are cooked well enough to digest more easily than you'll find elsewhere. Ask the manager to check the safety of your order. He makes the place as safe as it is.
