Poor selection of any GF items
This Safeway carries more gluten free products then most other Safeways I have been too. If I ever need a quick desert already made they have two freezers filled.
They have flours, sauces,condiments bread bagels deserts cookies made and cookie mixes i could go on they are getting more snd more gluten free products
In the bakery section there is gf and celiac friendly bread- the brand is called Promise. It's a bit pricey,, but it's pretty good.
Safeway also sells the brand Kinnikinnick, which sells a great pancake mix! I was pretty happy with it, and it was cheaper than some of the other gf pancake mixes there.
Overall Safeway has some good options. I'm just really unimpressed with the cost of gf options in general, but that isn't just a Safeway issue.
There is a Gluten Free cabinet with decent options of bread. Be careful there are wheat based cakes in the same cabinet.
