Experience here was a bit confusing the employee was contradicting the menu as for what is and is not gluten free. We received peanut sauce on the side with our salad rolls which was not what we ordered and also not gluten free. Overall, I felt like the food we ate was safe and gluten free (yellow curry, salad rolls and pad see ew). I just didn’t feel very comfortable with the menu uncertainty and sauce slip up. Taste wise 3/5
I've eaten here a few times and sense they're careful about cross-contamination. It's a bummer to miss lovely flat noodles, but the GF vermicelli noodles are safe, so sometimes you've gotta take the knock.
A stand out for me are their salad rolls. I had the shrimp but I think all are safe? (The menu has some conflicting info.) While you have to skip the peanut sauce, the rolls themselves are dynamite, and they have a lot of GF sauces.
They have clearly marked the gluten free items on the menu. There are a LOT of options!! The yellow curry tastes a bit more like Indian vs Thai but it's good! They took special precaution for all of my allergies including gluten.
I got the GF fried rice with peanut sauce side (only the sriracha sauce isn’t gf) the Staff were very knowledgeable and when I asked if they had gf soy sauce they gave me a predosed cup of gf tamari - I was very pleasantly surprised. Bc I mentioned gf they handled my order a little differently and gave me a buzzer, I noticed an employee basically kept custody of my dish seeming to ensure reducing cross contamination. Very impressed!
This is a quick casual place where you order at the front and then sit at a table with a # and they bring the food to you. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Items that can be made GF are clearly marked on the menu but they do not have a GF kitchen so cross-contamination may occur. I've never gotten sick here but that could just be luck. Food is tasty and inexpensive and it's just 2 doors down from Gelato Vera for dessert. It's also near El Indio and a burger place if your friends want something else. They do not police guests eating from other restaurants so long as someone gets food from Saffron. Street parking can be tricky.
Sadly, I got glutened here. It’s probably fine if you aren’t sensitive to cross contamination like me but I got sick. Much of the menu is clearly marked gluten free. The Thai food was just ok. There are certainly many other safe and more authentic options in the area. I definitely will not return.
ate here for 2 meals in a week, had lots to choose from, as did the vegan I was traveling with. very good selection for dietary restrictions. 4 of us all really enjoyed everything. only concern is on the menu the chicken skewers that come with peanut sauce was marked gf but I noticed on the other side of the menu the peanut sauce did not say gf, the woman behind the counter told me the sauce was not gf. glad I noticed, just proof of having to triple check everything and ask lots of questions. marking celiac friendly but always watch out for yourself.
Literally the most disgusting food I have ever eaten. I have never in my life asked for a refund at a restaurant but we literally took one bite and could not even stomach it. The meals tasted like cheap noodles covered in pure sugar and the salad rolls were bland and very poorly wrapped. Staff was nice but if you love actual Thai food STAY AWAY!! Everything was coated in a curry...
Had the healthy stir fried red organic rice with shrimp. They were able to make my food with gluten free sauce. Everyone in our group loves the food!
Very good. Easy, price is good. I had the GF brain food. Chicken, kale, sweet potato stir fry with turmeric, ginger and sage. Yum!
